Nimans reports 20% Polycom growth
Nimans has been named 2016 distribution partner of the year by Polycom after achieving
a 20% increase in sales of products including Polycom VVX handsets and the Polycom
RealPresence Trio smart hub for group collaboration.
Ian Brindle, Nimans’ head of conferencing and telephony sales, said: “Like-for-like sales
from 2015 to 2016 rose significantly not just in terms of volume but also compared to our
rivals. Nimans is building up a strong reputation as the ‘logistics engine of the industry’ and
recognition of this nature from Polycom further reinforces our status.”
New relationship manager
for Entanet
Entanet has appointed Ryan Berrisford as
Customer Relationship Manager. In this
newly-created role, he
will manage Entanet’s
Service Review
Programme, which has
already helped the
company increase its
Net Promoter Score
and make service
improvement across the
business.
Berrisford said:
“I’m excited about working with our most
ambitious partners to strengthen our
relationship and find ways to serve them
even better. I’ve been heavily involved in
our Service Review Programme since its
inception and I’m keen to see partners
benefit from working even closer with us in
the future.”
How to profit from Skype for Business
Nimans has produced a 28-page
End Point Selection Guide
to help
resellers exploit Skype for Business end point opportunities.
The guide includes all Skype for Business-certified end points in the
company’s portfolio. A certified device will work with Skype for Business straight out
the box without any need for technical support or further configuration by the user.
Ian Brindle, Nimans Head of Conferencing & Telephony Sales, said: “According to
analysts, Microsoft UC device shipments were to grow nearly 40% in EMEA in 2016,
helped massively by the rebrand from Lync to Skype for Business. Combine that with the fact
that Skype for Business is available as a Service through Office 365 and you can see how
Microsoft has opened up its UC engine to a whole new market of opportunity worth $11.4bn
in EMEA alone.”

BT partners with Jabra
BT Wholesale has signed an exclusive
partnership with Jabra to offer
sound-enhancing headsets and
speakerphone bundles to resellers of
its hosted communications service.
Marc Timmermans, Director
of Wholesale Calls & Hosted
Communication Services at BT
Wholesale, said: “Working with Jabra
gives our Wholesale partners an exciting
opportunity to add even more high value
add-ons to our hosted offerings, helping
them to expand and differentiate their
proposition and drive new revenue
streams. We’ve also made this available
so that any customer can buy the Jabra
products through our online sites. They
don’t have to be a hosted customer
already.”
Nigel Dunn, Managing Director Jabra
EMEA North, said: “We are excited to
be embarking on our partnership with
BT Wholesale as the exclusive headset
supplier of choice for the next four years
within their hosted communications
service. Providing BT Wholesale resellers
with the option of deploying Jabra
audio devices as part of their UC or
SIP trunking voice service allows the
channel partner to fully own the end-
to-end customer solution, blocking out
the competition from adding on devices
post roll-out.”

performance and engagement. It’s part of
our ‘Voice of Nycomm’ strategy to inspire
business success and an exceptional
customer experience as staff strive for
excellence to earn their seat on the plane.”
