Tech Data extends C2FO relationship
Tech Data has announced a five-year global partnership extension with C2FO that
will cover its vendors in Europe. The deal will enable the Tech Data supply chain to
control cash flow and improve financial metrics on demand by accelerating payment
of approved invoices.
David Childers, vice president, assistant treasurer at Tech Data Corporation, said: “We have
extended our partnership with C2FO because of the value they provide to us and our supply
chain, but also because of their team approach. We value the relationships that we have with
our vendors and the C2FO collaborative approach represents another way for us to enable our
supply chain success.”
Tech Data offers PDI service
Tech Data now offers a pre-delivery
inspection (PDI) service on HP Inc printers
and scanners, making it easier for resellers
to provide a higher level of service to
customers. Stephen Martin, print business
unit manager at Tech Data, said: “The new
PDI on HP printers and scanners is fast,
cost-effective and allows resellers to deliver
the best possible customer experience.
Peripheral devices are expected to work out-
of-the box and being able to make sure that
everything is properly set-up and ready to
go is a great way to add value for customers
and avoid wasted time and hassle.”

Back to school
Tech Data has produced a new
Focus on
Education
guide to help resellers sell to
schools and colleges. It includes analysis
of trends and technologies prevalent in
the sector, key areas of opportunity and
the details of specific solutions from
vendor partners.
Kirsty Guy, Public Sector Marketing
Manager at Tech Data, said: “Having a
good understanding of developments in
education is vital. There is a lot of focus
now on content and on different kinds
of learning. Mobility continues to be a
big – and very broad – theme, and there is
also a lot of interest in areas like VR and
a growing desire to use the cloud. Having
great quality audiovisual in the classroom
is also important to encourage greater
interaction between teachers and students.
All this is creating a lot of opportunity for
the channel – and the guide is a good
place to get started.”
