First show for Pilot
Exhibiting for the first time at the London Stationery
Show, Pilot Pen was demonstrating its FriXion Colors
erasable colouring pen featuring heat-sensitive ink
that goes clear when rubbed with the attached eraser.
Available in a range of 12 colours, FriXion Colors
are ideal for drawing and colouring, as well as for
marking up notes in textbooks.
Another highlight was the V-Board Master S marker
pen. Suitable for all types of whiteboard surface, the
erasable marker uses the same vivid, smooth flowing,
coloured liquid ink as the company’s popular V-Board
Master, but has a slimmer design and so is much easier
to carry in a pocket or pencil case.
Fun new
collection
Stabilo was showcasing its new
beYou collection featuring 15
different beCrazy and beFab designs
to suit all personalities.
BeCrazy, available with six different
designs, includes a slim fountain pen
and a rollerball with a smooth writing
action that doesn’t scratch or blot.
The beFab range, also available as a
fountain pen or rollerball, features a
slightly thicker pen barrel and nine
different designs.
Both ranges have a grip zone made
from a non-slip material for easy
handling and comfort. They are suitable
for right- and left-handed users and
can be used and refilled with royal
blue erasable or red ink.
New products and old
favourites
Sinclairs, makers of Silvine Paper Stationery and
Artgecko Sketchbooks, unveiled new Silvine
Originals inspired by the bold red books used
by schoolchildren, artists, writers and craftsmen
since 1948. Also on display were Artgecko
Sketchbooks, award-winning environmental
products, retro licensed notebooks and some
Silvine favourites.
Blake diversifies into postal
packaging
Blake has diversified its envelope and paper
products offering to include a comprehensive
range of postal packaging solutions.
Managing director Michael Barter says the
move has been prompted by continued volume
decline in the envelope market and recognition
that postal packaging is still an area of growth
across much of Europe.
He said: “At Blake we pride ourselves on our
pioneering ‘can do’ approach to business, so
when we saw a repeated year-on-year reduction
in envelope volumes we had to take stock and
decide how best to maintain and grow our
business. We came to the conclusion that to
continue our 16 years of growth, we had to look
outside of envelopes.”
Blake’s Purely Packaging range encompasses
everything from metallic bubble pockets, book
wraps and postal tubes to DX poly bags and
one-touch postal boxes. It is available through
Office Depot, Viking, Lyreco, VOW and Spicers.
The company also offers bespoke packaging
solutions created to a customer’s specification
by Blake’s in-house design team.
