Compostable coffee pod
Percol Coffee Co has launched a fully
compostable Nespresso-compatible coffee
capsule to help tackle the environmental
impact of coffee pod waste.
Most brands are made from aluminium, plastic
or a combination of both and can take up to 500
years to break down in landfill, whereas Percol
compostable capsules made from natural plant-
based materials take just 12 weeks to break down
completely.
The coffee itself is made from organic, Rainforest
Alliance-certified Arabica beans, slow roasted for a
rich, smooth taste.
