Beat jet-lag with
HumanCharger
Jet-lag can affect performance at work and
kill productivity but, with HumanCharger,
travellers can beat jet-lag in half the usual time.
HumanCharger alleviates the symptoms of jet-
lag by directing 12-minute beams of UV-free,
blue-enriched bright light at the cranium through
two earbuds. A clinical trial published in the
medical journal
Aerospace Medicine and Human
Performance
found that travellers who used the
HumanCharger four times, at two-hour intervals,
recovered from trans-Atlantic jet-lag twice as fast
as the placebo control group. A smartphone app
helps travellers optimise headset usage.
Expand your screen space
MMD, brand license partner for Philips Monitors, has announced a 21.5 inch Philips USB
Docking Monitor. The monitor connects to a notebook via a standard USB cable, giving users
extra screen space to work with and the ability to view multiple applications at a glance. For
comfort, the monitor features Phillips Flicker-Free technology and a SmartErgoBase that lets
users tilt, swivel and rotate the screen to the position they prefer. The Philips 221S6QUMB USB
Docking LCD Monitor is available now for £149.
A battery lifesaver
The Batteriser is a clever device that extends
the life of a standard disposable battery by
up to 800%. Most consumers don’t realise
that electronic devices often only use 20%
of a battery’s energy before the device stops
functioning. Batteriser, a 0.1mm thin stainless-
steel sleeve, allows you to tap into the remaining
80% of energy that is usually thrown away. Its
thin design enables the battery plus sleeve to fit
neatly back into your device. Batteriser is available
for AA, AAA, C and D-cell batteries and prices
start at under $10.00 for a four pack of sleeves.
Every year, over 15 billion disposable batteries are
consumed globally.
