The importance of colour
Tape and adhesive specialist tesa used
extensive consumer research to identify the
best colours for its new mini correction and
crystal film dispensers. In tests, pink and
cyan blue were the most popular options,
being seen as vibrant and modern.
Europa customers win
iPhones
Mr Glover from Kettering in
Northamptonshire was one of 10 lucky
winners of an iPhone 6 in a competition run
by ExaClair Limited to promote its Europa
range of books, pads and filing products.
Mr Glover entered the draw after buying a
yellow A5 Europa notemaker from Colemans of
Kettering, an independent stationers and arts
and crafts retailer.
He said: “I buy all my stationery from
Colemans and trust that they stock good quality
brands. Europa is a great example of a brand
that I go back to time and time again because
the products are long lasting and look good.”
He added: “The iPhone promotion certainly
caught my attention, but you never think you’re
going to win these things. I’m so pleased I did!”

the Colemans store.
Growing online returns
Tesa, a market leader in the manufacture

Premier plants 2,500 trees
In November, Premier Paper Group, the UK’s
largest independent paper merchant, held
a day of tree planting, where customers
and staff joined forces to plant some 2,500
trees at a site in rural Hertfordshire.
Trees were planted at Heartwood Forest,
owned by theWoodland Trust, which is set to
become the UK’s largest continuous new native
woodland.
David Jones, Premier Paper Group
Marketing Director, said: “A big thank you
to everyone who attended the tree planting
day. It was good to see the Carbon Capture
programme in action.We managed to exceed
the expectations of theWoodland Trust by
planting 2,500 trees during the day. So far
this year, customers who have engaged in the
programme have helped to plant over 55,000
trees, capturing 11,000 tonnes of CO2 – an
incredible achievement!”

Poor battery life is a constant
concern for today’s smartphone users, with
60% running out of charge at least once a
month, according to research by Leitz.

Cross to sponsor sports
book awards
Following its involvement in the 2015 Sports

Greener paper
The latest WWF Environmental Paper
Company Index (ECPI) shows continued
improvement in the environmental
performance of leading pulp and
paper producers,with greater levels of
transparency and sustainability than in
previous years.
WWF EPCI 2015 includes information on
the ecological footprints of 85 million tonnes
of pulp and paper from 31 companies, up from
25 in 2013. This represents 30% of the world’s
tissue, 28% of the world’s graphic paper, 16%
of the world’s newsprint, 7% of the world’s
packaging and 15% of the world’s pulp.
Brand refresh for GBC and
Nobo
Popular office brands GBC and Nobo have
been revitalised with a brand refresh. ACCO
Brands has created new straplines, packaging
and icons for both brands and has integrated
the Rexanne watermark into logos and
packaging to retain a sense of consistency.
GBC, part of ACCO Brands since 2005, boasts
a new ‘Working for you’ strapline, reflecting
ACCO’s collective commitment to improving
customer productivity. Nobo has adopted ‘Think.
