Tough times signal rising
tensions
New research fromAvery Rewards
suggests that office tensions between
workers and bosses could be at an all-
time high.
The survey found that more than half
of UK office workers have had a falling out
or disagreement with their boss in the last
twelve months, with the majority feeling
that their boss fails to manage them and
their team well.
After wages, respondents said that the
worst thing about their current job was
a lack of appreciation, with long working
hours coming in third in the list of common
complaints. Other issues frequently
cited on the list of boss bugbears include
stomping around the office, changing their
mind after a task has been completed,
being made to run personal errands, never
making their own tea and not listening to
staff.
Just three in ten office workers say
their current job is rewarding and when
things get tough in the office over 90% of
workers admit to needing a treat to cheer
themselves up.
Avery says its Avery Rewards promotion
is all about reminding workers that they
deserve a little treat for all their efforts.
Promotional packs of Avery products contain
a unique code which when registered online

Strong growth for
Mintprice.com
Mintprice.com, the UK’s only price
comparison website for office supplies, is
growing by 300% year on year. Mintprice’s
strong growth is being driven by its unique,
patented price comparison technology,
which finds shoppers the lowest price
for individual items or a basket of office
supplies from a choice of sellers, then allows
them to order with one click for next-day
delivery, all without leaving the website.
The comparison site, which first launched
in 2010, has just signed an exclusive deal
with industry giant Spicers. Mintprice.com
now features all 17,000 lines in Spicers’
office supplies and stationery catalogue via a
partnership linking the wholesaler’s resellers
with the Mintprice.com site.
Spicers Business development director Simon
Wallis said: “With the average savings in excess
of 30% when compared to some of the big
internet names, this is online buying at its best.”
Mintprice.com Managing Director Nigel
Hudson said: “Our technology and now our
partnership with Spicers mean we are fully
equipped to win an even larger share of the
UK’s £1bn+ value stationery market.”
