The range also includes the Shredstar X5, X8, X10, X6pro, X13 and
X15. Key new features across the Shredstar series include a separate CD
cutting unit that easily shreds CDs, DVDs and credit and store cards. The
shredded material is sorted into a separate CD waste container so it can
be disposed of separately.
According to HSM, the introduction of a separate CD cutting unit
in Level O-1 on the S10, X5 and X8 models provides added customer
value within the entry level shredder market. Plus, they’re quiet while in
use, with noise levels under 58 dBA.
The X10 and X6pro CD cutting units have been revised to meet Level
O-1 while the cutting unit of the X6pro has been developed to shred to
a particle size of just 2mm x 15mm, meeting Level P-5 requirements,
for higher data security.
An integrated light barrier starts the Shredstar devices automatically
and switches them off again after the paper feed ends, while the
automatic reverse function
rectifies paper jams
and ensures smooth
operation. The
waste containers
are easy to
remove and
empty, plus waste
levels are clearly
visible through
the inspection
window, making
timely emptying
possible. Another
new development
on the X13 and X15
is new motor cooling
technology that
ensures a two-hour
run time.
