supporting four usage modes, the
Acer Chromebook Spin 11 is a rugged
convertible Chromebook, featuring a
stylus powered by Wacom EMR (Electro-
Magnetic Resonance) technology, which
lets students write and draw directly on
the screen. The 11.6in notebook has
two Acer HD wide view HDR webcams,
one 1MP camera above the screen
and another 5MP camera above the
keyboard.
On-the-go productivity
The ASUSPRO B9440 is the world’s lightest
14-inch business notebook. Designed for
on-the-go professionals, it has an ultra-

the front and back. Priced at £349.99, it
is an affordable choice for business users
looking for the flexibility of a tablet and
laptop combined for use in the office and
on the move. The detachable keyboard has
a leather backing
and a stand.

Dell describes the Latitude 5285,
introduced at CES 2017, as the world’s
most secure and manageable 2-in-1.
In addition to Endpoint Security Suite
Enterprise, providing advanced threat
prevention, it has the option of multi-factor
authentication using fingerprint and smart
card readers. It weighs less than 2lbs and
has an auto-deploy kickstand that extends
up to 150 degrees for multiple viewing
angles, including laptop, tablet or desktop
modes. Connectivity options include
2x2ac Wi-Fi, a USB 3.0 port, 2 USB Type-C
ports, optional 4G/LTE and optional WiGig
support. At CES, Dell also previewed the
premium Latitude 7285 2-in-1, with
WiTricity magnetic resonance wireless
charging capabilities and WiGig docking.
Versatile detachable
Announced at Mobile World Congress
2017, HP’s new 2-in-1 detachable
supports multiple modes of operation,
including presentation mode, inking
mode for taking notes, tablet mode for
data collection and notebook mode. The
Pro x2 612 G2 can also be used with
a magnetically attached Collaboration
Keyboard with dedicated keys for
managing voice and video conference
calls. Other key features include WLAN
and optional WWAN connectivity; a fast-
charging battery, providing up to 11 hours
of battery life; up to 8GB of memory and
up to 512GB of storage; a built-in smart
card reader; a removable SSD; an optional
fingerprint sensor; and optional Near Field
Communications (NFC).
Light and long-lasting
Fujitsu has expanded its LIFEBOOK range
with the lightweight LIFEBOOK U937 and
the long-lasting LIFEBOOK S937. The
LIFEBOOK U937 is Fujitsu’s lightest ever
notebook, weighing just 920 grams. It has
a 13.3-inch touch display, full keyboard,
up to 11 hours of battery life and a choice
of fingerprint reader or Fujitsu PalmSecure
palm vein authentication, alongside an
integrated SmartCard reader. The LIFEBOOK
S937 comes with a second battery that
provides an additional 6 hours of runtime,
on top of the standard 15 hours of
operation.
