Come rain or shine
The Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 is
claimed to be the world’s first 3:2 aspect
ratio, fully rugged 2-in-1 detachable
laptop. Its 12in touchscreen is ideal for
viewing business applications inside and
outdoors – it can be used in the rain,
when the user is wearing gloves and even
in bright sunlight thanks to 1200cd/
m2 brightness. There are two models to
choose from, the CF-33 2-in-1 detachable
laptop (tablet with keyboard dock) and the
CF-33 Tablet (tablet only), plus an optional
vehicle docking adapter for existing CF-31
vehicle docks. The twin hot swappable
batteries provide extended battery life.
Port adapters
StarTech.com has released five portable
USB-C adapters, providing users of USB-C
enabled laptops, like the new MacBook
Pro, with an easy way to power, charge and
add external video to their device. Three of
the new adapters feature a USB 3.0 Type-A
port, which enables users to connect an
additional USB peripheral device. The new
USB-C adapters are distributed by Enta,
Ingram Micro and Exertis.
