Designed by millennials for millennials, the pen is the result of three years’ planning, research and development to ensure the styling, features, quality and price are absolutely spot-on. The key design feature is a honeycomb patterned integral finger grip that provides a comfortable and controllable writing experience. Another important feature is a strong, robust metal pocket clip that features a monogram letter ‘P’ for ‘Pentel’ at the end. Izee is available in two versions, a cap-style and a retractable format. Both feature a 1.0 mm medium tip and come in a choice of eight colours (see photo). Izee pens are also refillable. www.pentel.co.uk 02 | P2P Magazine 01732 759725 Giving hope through education Blake Envelopes recently partnered with the School in a Bag charity to distribute 149 school bags to the Shree Ganesh Basic School, located in the remote village of Paanch Pokhari, Nepal. The UK’s largest stockist of envelopes chose to support Shree Ganesh Basic School through its ‘giving hope through education’ programme as the Helambu region in which the school is located is still struggling to rebuild itself after an earthquake devastated the region in 2015. www.blake-envelopes.com Manuscript to distribute Yookers Manuscript Pen Company has acquired exclusive UK distribution rights for the Hong Kong brand Yookers. The brand, which started as a Kickstarter campaign with nearly 600 backers, boasts the world’s first refillable felt tip pen compatible with any standard-sized ink cartridge. After success in Asia and Europe, Manuscript plans to help extend the Yookers network into the UK. www.manuscriptpen.com Creating woodlands in the UK and abroad Distributor Antalis has announced that all material purchased from across its papers, packaging and visual communications ranges can now be carbon offset, with some paper ranges already supplied fully carbon- balanced. Customers can purchase carbon credits to support the creation of new UK woodlands (via Forest Carbon and the Antalis Woodlands) or to preserve global forests (via Forest Carbon in South America or aWorld Land Trust project in Vietnam). Antalis partner Forest Carbon leads the way in voluntary carbon woodland creation in the UK and abroad. Since 2006 it has planted more than eight million trees in the UK and a further 2.5 million overseas, equating to the removal of over 2.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. www.antalis.co.uk Something to celebrate The London Stationery Show 2020 is taking place on April 21-22 at the Business Design Centre, London. This year marks the show’s tenth birthday, so as well as bringing together all of the biggest brands in stationery and gifts, the team is busy making plans to celebrate this milestone. Event Manager Hazel Fieldwick said: “Over the past ten years the show has really evolved, moving from office products to retail and design-led stationery. We’re thrilled to be marking our tenth show and will be making sure that it’s the best one yet.” www.stationeryshow.co.uk Charity support Since becoming an official partner of Prostate Cancer UK in 2009, Pentel has raised over £600,000 for the charity. Pentel started supporting the charity through sales of LineStyle, a stylish blue barrelled ballpoint pen, and is now raising money with its best-selling EnerGel Xm Retractable. For each EnerGel pen purchased, Pentel makes a donation of 25p to Prostate Cancer UK. To date over 2.4 million special edition pens have been sold. www.pentel.co.uk
