Developed to facilitate the recycling of some of the 2.5 billion polyethylene-lined paper cups used each year in the UK, the CupCycling facility separates the lining from the paper and converts the untainted paper fibre into beautiful papers. Andy Smith, export director at James Cropper, said: “The fibre used to create takeaway cups is very high quality and seeing this go to waste on such a huge scale is what inspired us to develop the technology. What we’re left with is material that’s virtually indistinguishable from fresh fibre and can therefore be used to create premium paper products.” He added: “CupCycling is enabling brands to work with us towards a world that’s less wasteful and become part of a movement that has the potential to revolutionise paper cup recycling and the paper industry as a whole.” www.cupcycling.co.uk DictateNow certified for business continuity Transcription and digital dictation services provider DictateNow recently achieved ISO 22301:2012 certification, the internationally acclaimed standard for Business Continuity. The firm’s business continuity management system (BCMS) underwent a detailed assessment by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) and was found to be fully compliant with the ISO standard. Managing director Garry Park said: “Any business that outsources transcription services to DictateNow can rest assured that if anything goes seriously wrong, like an incident that denies us access to our offices, the service we deliver will not be interrupted. “Managing our service across our home- based typists, spread throughout the UK, remains a challenge, but brings resilience to our service and limits the impact of any one localised event, like a fire, flood or power outage.” www.dictatenow.com IQ revamp Global packaging and paper group Mondi has unveiled a brand new look for its IQ office and professional printing paper, including a new logo and ream wrappers.
