Increasingly, it feels like customers are the guinea pigs for security patches and fresh features. It is super-frustrating trying to provide reliable services while constantly having to deal with the latest bugs to mess with the products we look after. Better testing leading to fewer issues would make our IT workday easier. What is your favourite quote and why? ‘Keep it simple’. With technology evolving so quickly, we need to make sure things remain straightforward and manageable to help us keep pace. What’s on your playlist at the moment? I am not one for the newest artists or chart-toppers. I prefer to hit play on YouTube Music's Energy Supermix. It's my go-to for staying upbeat. What’s the most used app on your phone and why? My go-to app has to be the web browser. I'm always digging into Digital and IT tech stuff, scrolling through the top news stories, or shopping for things our kids need that my wife cues me in about during the day. How do you like to spend your spare time? I always have to be doing something, so in my free time I’ll dive into another DIY project, fix up the garden or fire up the pizza oven for some quality family time. Fine dining and good wine or curry and a pint? Eating at fancy restaurants and sipping good wine wasn't part of my childhood, but I've started to really enjoy the fine dining scene, even if it felt a bit intimidating at first. Favourite holiday destination? For me, Disney vacations are the best. It's awesome to let your inner child out while seeing your kids light up with joy over and over. The leading digital transformation event combines a lively vendor expo with a comprehensive programme of keynotes, roundtables, panels and workshops on this year’s theme of ‘the road to reinvention’. Speakers from digital transformation trailblazers, including Lloyds, BT, Microsoft, DWP, Booking.com and Deliveroo, will provide valuable insights into how they are harnessing technology and data to drive forward their digital agendas whilst prioritising trust and security. The event will give visitors unique insights into key talking points such as AI, cyber security, DevOps and cloud, helping them to: n Master the art of continuous reinvention to keep up with tech advancements; n Modernise IT tool stacks, maximise legacy infrastructure and reduce tech debt; n Cut through the noise and identify the AI use cases; n Architect a way to next-gen software engineering and delivery whilst improving DevX; n Establish responsible frameworks for data and AI through effective governance and architecture; n Build a secure ecosystem that is responsive to today’s threat landscape; n Educate and empower colleagues with the latest communications and collaboration tools; n Meet changing customer demand for interaction and engagement; n Streamline the IT service desk for faster and more intuitive responses; and n Attract and retain the best and diverse tech talent.
