The Samaritans Veterans App lets former Armed Services personnel keep track of their mental wellbeing; access wellbeing information, including videos, exercises and podcasts; create wellbeing to-do lists; and connect with the veteran community. www.samaritans.org Prior warning of disruption The Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC) is helping Scottish organisations protect themselves from business disruption by launching a new app that warns of imminent risks including cyber threats, traffic problems and protestor activity. Notifications from Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the Scottish Government and the CyberScotland Partnership, coded red, amber or green, are pushed out to app users based on their preferences. App tackles bullying Hull-based smart tech firm Sauce has developed an app to tackle workplace bullying and discrimination in the TV and film industry. The brainchild of director Delyth Thomas and producers Jules Hussey and KateWilson, the ‘Call It!’ app will enable people to provide anonymous feedback on their treatment at work, using a simple traffic light system, and record any incidents of bullying, harassment or discrimination.
