3M expands film range
3M Commercial Graphics has extended its
range of decorative window film for interior
decor, privacy and architectural applications.
An economical alternative to etched or
sandblasted glass, translucent polyester
Fasara DecorativeWindow Films are now
available from stock in a selection of 54
patterns including gradation, stripe, border,
prism, fabric, frost and matte.
Ideal for refresh or refurb projects, the films
use a pressure sensitive adhesive and are easily
applied on-site. They can also be removed and
replaced as fashions change.
As well as enhancing privacy and interior
décor, the films block up to 99% of UV light,
which helps to protect fabrics from fading. They
are available with a five-day lead time through
local stock in Europe and come with a five-year
warranty.

Plug and print convenience
New from Brother is the QL700 label printer
(£109 ex VAT). Offering true ‘plug and print’
convenience, it can print directly from a PC
without the need to install a driver or software
and is capable of printing at speeds of 93
labels per minute – 30% faster than equivalent
competitor models, claims Brother.
The QL700 can be used with
continuous tape for labels up
to 62mm wide and one
metre long, as well as
pre-cut labels for
letters, parcels,
CDs and signage.
Brother claims
the cost per label is
25% lower than some
competitor models.
Last year Brother spent £1.5 million on its
Route 66 labelling campaign. In 2010/2011,
labeller sales were 70% higher than in 2009/2010,
with Brother achieving a market share of 36.1% by
volume.

Putting customers first
Following research showing that 43%
of small and medium-sized businesses
think serviced offices are more about the
supplier’s brand than their own corporate
identity, MWB Business Exchange is
removing its own branding from offices.
It is also making it easier for clients to
stamp their own character on office space
after two thirds of the 500 SMBs questioned
said they wanted an office to ‘wow’ their
clients. They can do this by mixing and
matching 12 Signature Office designs created
by MWB and choosing their own wallpaper.
Originally launched in London, this model
has now been rolled out across all of MWB’s
UK offices.
In addition, MWB Business Exchange has
taken on more staff to ensure that it has the
highest staff to client ratio in the UK serviced
office sector, with an average of seven staff
members in each centre.

Smarter labels
Dymo is moving labelling technology forward with the launch
of its first model to have a full colour touch-screen display.
The DYMO LabelManager 500TS features both a computer-style
keyboard and a touch-screen display that lets you create, format
and edit labels by touch.
The use of rechargeable batteries gives complete mobility, but
labels can also be created on a PC connected via USB.
In addition to its touch-screen, the 500TS boasts a 50% faster
print speed than its predecessor; 300dpi print quality; an automatic
label cutter; and the ability to print onto a wide range of Dymo D1
labels.
