A glimpse of the future
ViewSonic was offering a glimpse of the future with an
interactive touchscreen desk. Developed in conjunction
with EXOPC, the EXOdesk is a 32” 10-point touch
tabletop that uses an HTML5-powered user interface to
provide multi-touch input and gesture-based control of
productivity tools, social networking, games and specially
developed tabletop applications.
A mouse like no other
The Logitech Cube is a wireless mouse like no other, and not just because when
you lift it in the air it turns into a presenter. To use it as a mouse, just swipe
your finger along the main panel for a smooth scrolling experience similar to a
touchscreen smartphone. To switch to presenter mode, just lift the Cube in the
air. Clicking the top of the mouse advances to the next slide, and if you need to
go back simply turn the mouse over in your hand and click again. The Logitech
Cube comes with a Logitech Unifying receiver that’s so small it can stay plugged
into your computer as you move around, with the option to connect up to six
compatible devices, such as a keyboard or number pad without the complication
of multiple USB receivers.
