Wayne Jones was previously Managing Director of North Wales-based managed IT, cybersecurity, managed print and web development company Office Equipment Systems Limited (OES), in which Flotek took a majority stake in February 2024. His investment in Flotek and elevation to its Board of Directors follows Flotek’s acquisition of the remaining equity in OES, which will rebrand as Flotek Group later this year and power the Group’s expansion into the North and the roll-out of managed print to its UK customer base. Since Flotek’s initial investment, OES has increased recurring revenue by closely adhering to the group’s vision and introducing telecoms to its existing customers. Jones said: “We’ve adapted the Flotek model since the investment and seen huge growth levels and service improvements by investing in our team and technology stack. This has focused us on working with customers who see real value in a partnership.” Flotek Group CEO Jay Ball added: “Wayne Jones becoming Group Sales Director allows me to step back from the sales team and focus on future acquisitions while Wayne focuses solely on delivering our ambitious growth plans to achieve £20m revenue by the end of 2025.” Flotek has taken a significant step towards this goal with the acquisition of Simpology, a Microsoft Cloud Partner focused on SMEs and multi-site companies in London, Cambridge and surrounding areas.
