Transforming SMB Efficiency: Microsoft Copilot Nathan Marke, COO, gives his insight into the Copilot opportunity for MSPs I’m willing to wager that if you asked any SMB whether AI will affect their industry over the next ten years, their answer would be ‘definitely!’ Working back from this decade-long expectation creates a really significant opportunity for the Channel to prepare their SMB customers to make the most of the AI productivity boom that’s sure to follow. Having been involved in Copilot’s beta testing for the past few months, I’d be shocked if I hadn’t made myself at least 10 per cent more productive with the tools it has to offer. So, on one hand Copilot provides a toolkit that can create tremendous value for employees and, on the other, there’s an SMB market hungrily awaiting the chance to make the most of Generative AI. This creates the perfect opportunity for the Channel to help SMBs gain an advantage. In the first instance, I see this as an opportunity to prepare SMBs to use Gen AI safely. The Channel can greatly assist businesses with building a secure data framework within which AI can flourish, whilst remaining secure and resilient to cyber threats.
