CYBERSECURITY 30 01732 759725 Arctic Wolf is building on two years of expansion in EMEA with eye-catching extensions to its services offering research shows that 40% of organisations lack comprehensive cyber insurance – and most of those that do have insurance don't believe it would fully cover the costs associated with an incident. The warranty, on top of investment in the Arctic Wolf service, provides an extra layer of reassurance.” Incident Response Arctic Wolf’s second new initiative, also designed to propel it towards 100% coverage for customers, is Incident Response JumpStart. This cyber risk management solution helps businesses prepare for incidents by identifying gaps in their security and enabling them to harden their defences and develop an Incident Response plan, which, as well as reducing cyber risk, can make it quicker and easier to take out cyber insurance. “Incident Response JumpStart is for customers that want to be sure that if there is an attack they have a plan in place,” explained Loveridge. “Benefits include a one-hour SLA to the incident response team (compared to the standard 4-hour response), a reduced hourly rate on incident response and an in-advance complimentary scoping call so that if a response is required the incident response team already has your details and has done some scoping of your environment.” She adds that these benefits are available for a nominal fee with a $0 retainer, compared to some organisations that charge tens of thousands of dollars for a set number of hours per annum that may never be used and can’t be rolled over. Talking points Loveridge adds that IR JumpStart and the $1 million Warranty give resellers something new to talk about to existing and new customers. “IR JumpStart gives resellers the opportunity to go out and sell to any customer. You don't necessarily need to sell core Arctic Wolf solutions and services to be able to sell IR JumpStart, so it gives them the ability to go and have cyber conversations with organisations even if they aren't ready to jump into the core services that we offer. The Warranty is something else for them to go and speak to their customers about. It's an added benefit for organisations that are worried about their cyber security.” EMEA growth The launch of these products follows a year of growth for Arctic Wolf that has seen it double its EMEA headcount; establish teams in 10 countries across the region; triple its volume of business; and expand its EMEA reseller network to 165 partners, of which 60 are in the UK, including the recently announced Arctic Wolf UK Partner of the Year Commercial IT Services Ltd. Loveridge points out that Arctic Wolf’s UK channel community includes a wide range of partners. “Our 65 partners in the UK vary from smaller partners who've been with us from the start to the likes of CDW and Softcat who are growing their business with us. What we offer scales to all partners, so we’ve got very, very wide reach.” She adds that Arctic Wolf represents a great opportunity for resellers to diversify not only because every organisation is at risk of a breach and therefore an opportunity but because there’s no need for partners to invest heavily in technology or in people. Arctic Wolf does that for them. “We have salespeople to work alongside our resellers in the sales process and once the sale is made our customer onboarding team takes care of the onboarding. We've got security professionals who deal with customers on a day-to-day basis; and we also have customer success teams that conduct regular account reviews and deal with renewals and upsells. Cybersecurity represents a huge opportunity without a huge amount of financial investment.” Arcticwolf.com Cloud-native security operations platform provider Arctic Wolf has started its new financial year with the launch of two initiatives that are likely to be welcomed by its expanding channel community in Europe, where it has been active since April 2021 and where it officially opened a Newcastle-based EMEA HQ in September 2022. The first of these is the $1 million Arctic Wolf Security Operations Warranty, backed by Cysurance, which has been available in the US for two years and is now being extended to customers in Europe and ANZ. The zero-cost Warranty is available to users of the Arctic Wolf Security Operations Cloud, which provides Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Managed Risk, Managed Security Awareness and Incident Response services. Customers who subscribe to MDR and one other core product qualify for up to $500,000 of warranty, while takers of three core products qualify for up to $1 million of warranty. Clare Loveridge, VP EMEA, told Technology Reseller that Arctic Wolf’s investment in technology and people meets 95% of the requirement of its Security Operations Centre, with the remaining 5%, relating to the transfer of risk, being met by warranties and insurance. Arctic Wolf’s Security Operations Warranty doesn’t replace cyber insurance, but sits alongside it, and is also available to those who don’t have cyber insurance. “The warranty we offer is completely separate to cyber insurance,” she explained. “Essentially, it provides funds to support incident response activities like legal and regulatory expenses and other business costs that might occur during a ransomware attack, for example negotiations with the threat actors, business email compromise and other business disruptions, which might not be covered by cyber insurance.” Loveridge adds that the response from customers in Europe has been very encouraging. “The interest from customers in Europe, even in the short space of time that we've had the warranty, has been really exciting. There's still an awful lot of organisations that don't have cyber insurance – recent Feeling confident Claire Loveridge
