This follows private equity firm Growth Capital Partners’ investment in Hippo Digital in April 2021 and the firm’s acquisition, in 2019, of data analytics firm Converging Data and the creation of an engineering practice of nearly 100 people around its enhanced data analytics and cyber security capabilities. Hippo Digital’s latest acquisition will enable it to scale its engineering and data practices to complement its product and design credentials and, in doing so, provide an alternative to legacy systems integrators and digital transformation organisations. Adam Lewis, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hippo Digital, said: “The Data Shed has an impressive track record of delivering for clients and has established itself as a real leader in the data field. This acquisition significantly strengthens our data and engineering capabilities, helps us solve wider problems for clients and extends our reach through The Data Shed’s private sector experience.” Founded in 2016 and with offices in Leeds, Manchester, London, Bristol and Birmingham, Hippo has a track record of delivering effective digital solutions to clients, including the NHS, DfE, DWP, GDS, Home Office and MoJ.
