Espria has a 20-year relationship with Woodgreen, so when the charity based in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire wanted to update security for its systems, full-time employees and network of volunteers, Espria was the natural choice. Peter Sumpter, Senior Systems Administrator at the charity, said: “Woodgreen had used an on-prem Sophos solution since 2016, which proved to be effective for us. However, we felt from a business perspective we needed to migrate to a cloud-based solution that would be easier for our administrators to protect our community of users.” This includes hundreds of volunteers who connect at least one device to the charity network. Espria recommended Sophos Central, which for a charity with such a lean IT team has the big benefit of fewer manual processes and faster threat response times through increased automation. Sumpter said: “We really like the new interface and more of what we do within Sophos Central is automated or simplified, saving us time. We can now focus on what we are known for – the welfare of animals.” Office move for PeaSoup Following a successful 2022 driven by rising demand in data centres for liquid immersion cooling technology, cloud and data specialist PeaSoup has moved to larger premises in Weybridge, Surrey and recruited more staff, including enterprise IT sales leader Steve Charnock.
