How Exertis Has Grown to be the World’s Largest Specialist Pro AV Distributor Jamie Brothwell, Director of Pro AV at Exertis UK, recently spoke to us about Exertis’s Pro AV community, her close-knit team, and why Pro AV is moving towards collaborative working in a post-pandemic world. After working in the channel for the last 20 years, Pro AV is like coming home for me. The scale of our global Pro AV organisation, and the skills and capabilities of our team, makes this a really exciting time. We support our vendors and customers with world class specialised sales teams, subject matter experts, and educators that, together, create innovative new experiences. Pro AV is a wonderful community for us as an organisation – and I like to say that Pro AV is the greatest story which nobody knows. Over the past two years a lot has changed – hybrid working, adaptation, and the way in which we host and take part in meetings (and the technology we use to do so) are key developments. The increase in focus towards our UC and Pro AV business has also increased; Exertis has recently acquired Almo in North America, which was the largest acquisition in its history. This means that we are now the world’s largest specialist Pro AV distributor. We’re reaching $1.5bn globally in annual Pro AV sales, operating across 20 countries, with more than 500 dedicated Pro AV employees worldwide – that shows the intent of our business and how much of a core strategic focus that Pro AV is within DCC, our parent company. We offer a whole suite of products to support the movement towards collaborative working. Barco, Logitech and Poly are the three key vendors in this space who we work with closely and offer as part of our portfolio.
