As well as leading the DWS finance function, Boland will bring his extensive experience to support the leadership team as they pursue an independent growth strategy with the backing of private equity firm Inflexion. Boland was CEO of Addison Lee Group for five years until March 2020 and before that was CFO at the Automobile Association (AA), from 2008 to 2014, when it was sold via an accelerated IPO with an enterprise value of £4.5bn. He also served as CFO of TNS plc, the former FTSE250 global market research group, for five years leading up to its £1.2bn sale to WPP Plc in 2008, and, more recently, was Senior Independent Director of Huntsworth plc, prior to it being taken private in May 2020. He will replace Acronis founder and CEO Serguei Beloussov, who will remain a member of the Board of Directors and Acronis Chief Research Officer, directing the technology and research strategy. An expert in developing cloud-based go-to-market strategies, particularly through service providers, resale channels and strategic alliances, Pulvermueller joins Acronis from GoDaddy, where he most recently served as President of the Partner Business. Thompson joins the communications, IT and cloud services provider from Manchester Airport Group (MAG), where, as Group CFO, he was part of the Executive team that more than trebled earnings over a seven-year period; oversaw several acquisitions, including MAG’s successful £1.5bn swoop for London Stansted airport; and led its inaugural and subsequent public market bonds and private equity issue. Based in Dublin, Fox-Martin has more than two decades of experience in tech leadership roles, most recently at SAP, where she was Executive Board Member and President of Global Sales, Services and Customer Engagement. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Equinix, the world’s largest data centre and colocation provider, and in 2020 was included on the international list of Fortune Magazine’s Top 50 Most Powerful Women, for the fourth time running.
