What have you missed about physical events over the last 18 months? We’ve really missed the networking aspect of physical events, in particular meeting and talking with our customers in person to get their feedback and discuss what else we can do for them. Events also gives us a great opportunity to showcase and inform people about our capabilities, share knowledge, meet with other exhibitors and see what our peers (and competitors!) are up to. Another aspect of events we’ve really missed is they are extremely useful for finding out more about what’s happening within the industry and what’s shaping it, such as new technologies within existing sectors and emerging/growth sectors. Why are physical events important to Intelligent Billing and the channel? Physical events give us the opportunity to inform attendees and other exhibitors about what we’ve been up to and our future development pipeline. For example, we’ve been doing a huge amount of work around overseas functionality and 3rd party API integrations, including banking for automation of payment collections and rejections. As mentioned above, they are also important for seeing what’s going on in the industry. At Technology Live, we’re specifically interested to see what the growth areas are within the Telco, Cloud services and Print IT spaces. Events are very valuable both for us and the channel to see new and emerging innovations and assess how these may benefit us or provide partnering opportunities. But the key thing for us is the networking. Physical events enable us to engage with existing customers and prospects face-to-face, which we are really looking forward to getting back to. What will MyPhones be showing at Technology Live? MyPhones will be showing the following: n MS Teams Integration n Insights Reporting Suite n Bespoke Hosted Telephony n Hardware as a Service n How to create your own bundles to differentiate What opportunities does the MyPhones product portfolio offer resellers? We give resellers the benefit of creating their own bundles, which in turn allows them to stand out in a congested market. As we are predominantly a SaaS provider, resellers can choose their own SIP providers and what hardware to deploy. This allows them to make greater margin as they see the benefit of SIP aggregation and can make whatever margin they want on the hardware. That said, after hearing from some resellers that they wanted us to create an easier route to market, we have created a suite of Hardware as a Service (HaaS) products that allows resellers to choose their hardware and pay for it over a 36-month period. This was created to free up resellers’ cashflow whilst allowing them access to a wide choice of hardware options. The last part of the puzzle was offering lifetime licences. This came at a good time as it allowed resellers to realise the full margin/cashflow at the front end instead of taking it over-term. It allowed us to penetrate new markets, such as Print and Copy, where they were looking to bolster their revenue streams. What you have missed about physical events over the last 18 months and why they are important to MyPhones and the channel? The thing we have missed the most is human interaction with our customers and potential new customers. MyPhones have a very longstanding group of partners and being able to exhibit, invite them along and see them face-to-face is very exciting. These events allow us to showcase our technology, not only to our existing channel but also to potential new partners. We haven’t been able to do a big event like this in such a long time and with that in mind we are hugely excited at the prospect of meeting new and existing partners. We have a few surprises to unveil at the show, so make sure you attend and we look forward to seeing you all there!
