Big data, big savings Swedish IT company AVTECH has helped Norwegian Air Shuttle reduce CO2 emissions from its fleet of 106 Boeing 737-800 aircraft by 2,000 tons over a three-month period. The Augmented Reality Configurator, or Arc, bridges the gap between design concept and final installation by showing how a display (or multiple displays) would look on any size or type of wall. An AR toolkit accessed via a connected tablet or smartphone uses the device’s camera to capture a space and then shows selected models mounted on the virtual wall.
