New from HID Global, the EasyLobby Solo
visitor management system gives SMEs a
simple, professional solution for checking
visitors in and out, including reporting for
compliance and audit purposes and the
emailing of visitor details to first responders
in an emergency. The standalone solution
works on a single workstation, with the
option of self-registration via a tablet, and
is compatible with all HID Global printers
and a range of ID scanners.

Nimans is reporting a surge in sales for
Storno two-way radios after re-introducing
the brand to its portfolio. The distributor
says Storno licensed radios are the perfect
introduction for resellers new to the sector,
as they combine good performance with
reliability and easy out-of-the-box operation.

Toshiba’s new 500 GB 2-in1 external drive
backs up and charges Android phones
in a single operation. The CANVIO for
Smartphone gives users peace of mind
that important personal data such as
photos, videos, music, documents and
contacts will be backed up automatically
every time they charge their phone –
according to AVAST, just 8% of smartphone
users back up their phones regularly. The
solution can be shared by several devices
and also provides external storage for PC
users.

the Fieldbook K122 ‘cross usage’ tablet.
Featuring a large 12.2in, 1920 x 1200 pixel
screen, Corning Gorilla Glass, a full-sized,
detachable keyboard, mobility, a variety of
interfaces and a rugged, lightweight design,
the tablet is ideal for use in harsh
industrial environments. Data can be
input via the attachable keyboard
or through the touchscreen,
even in wet conditions or when
wearing gloves.
Broad appeal
Epson has expanded its range of ultra-
short-throw projectors with seven new
3LCD projectors including the EB-696Ui.
All offer bright images up to 100 inches
in size, a contrast ratio of up to 16,000:1
and three HDMI inputs for connecting PCs,
DVD and Blu-ray players, streaming dongles
and visualisers. Designed to aid learning
and collaboration, the interactive EB-696Ui
has finger-touch and dual-pen interactivity
and the ability to display content from
up to 50 devices, using EasyMP Multi-PC
Projection software. Information can also
be shared using the Epson iProjection App
for iOS, Android and Google Chromebooks.
To create a multiscreen interactive surface,
users can place two EB-696Uis side-by-
side. Prices start at £1,145.
