Organisations across the private and public sectors are experiencing increasing cost pressures and are looking to find new and innovative ways of reducing their overheads. Where do you see the next big opportunity? Awareness of Epson’s MPS proposition has grown significantly over the last few years. Our value proposition is underpinned by technology that is far more environmentally sustainable than most organisations’ current solution. As climate change continues to accelerate, many organisations are looking more closely at how they can use technology to reduce their impact on the environment. Thanks to our value-added partners, we are seeing a wider adoption of Epson technology in the market as businesses look to cut their carbon footprint and move to a more environmentally sustainable print offering. What would make your day job easier? An electric helicopter! I am a strong believer in face-to-face meetings. Teams and Zoom have been great tools over the past few years, but being able to meet What was your first job? My first job was working in the phone shop, The Link. I was 16 and it was a Saturday job. I loved interacting with the customers and the buzz of selling. I think that’s when I knew I wanted a career in sales. What would be your dream job? Footballer! I was never good enough to make it, but football is my passion and I’ll happily watch any game. Favourite holiday destination? Hawaii. Best place I’ve been by far. The scenery and landscapes are stunning, and the sea was crystal clear. Swimming with turtles was a key highlight and something I’ll never forget. How do you like to spend your spare time? I’m a bit of a foodie, so like to spend time eating out with friends and family. When I’m not doing that, I like trips to the seaside – sitting on a beach with a bag of chips, whatever the weather, is my idea of heaven. Fine dining and good wine, or curry and a pint? Curry and a pint! I love a good lamb bhuna with an onion bhaji, complemented perfectly with a Cobra beer. Money’s not an issue, what’s your perfect car… and where would you like to drive it? I’m not a huge car fan, but I’d love a convertible Aston Martin – driving through the countryside on a hot summer’s day would be perfect! customers in their offices has made my job much easier. The helicopter would certainly cut down on my travel time as I visit customers across the UK & Ireland. What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given? Make sure you have a strong plan, but don’t be afraid to change it. If you had had a crystal ball, would you have done anything differently? Perhaps I would have purchased a few Bitcoin a decade ago, but apart from that, no. Describe your most embarrassing moment. During one of the first sales I ever made, I had to ask the customer to sign the contract four times as I kept getting the paperwork wrong!
