As an advanced reseller, Ricoh will deliver Intuitive for PaperCut MF, a pre-integrated BI solution which is delivered with a complete set of standard configurations. The solution can be installed and enabled within a few hours at a significantly reduced cost and with superior analysis capability when compared with comparable business intelligence solutions. Roger Stocker, Intuitive CEO said: “Intuitive for Papercut allows organisations to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of their print management infrastructure. It gives extra visibility to monitor the effectiveness of print management policies and rules. We are also seeing our partners use this data to identify opportunities for further digital transformation with their customers. This makes it a great valueadd solution for PaperCut resellers, and we’re delighted to welcome Ricoh UK as an advanced reseller of our print management dashboards.” Intuitive dashboards provide an essential value-added layer to show if print management cost reduction policies are effective. Users can see clearly where print demand is coming from, with the latest available usage data for multifunction devices, leading to shorter and more effective decision cycles. The dashboards show CO2 produced as well as paper and electricity consumed by printing so can be used to communicate environmental impact to all print users. Regular monthly reporting is automated and personalised for different budget holders. www.weareintuitive.com Brother UK bolsters labelling range Brother UK has strengthened its labelling range by striking a new partnership with barcode software vendor TEKLYNX to help resellers serve growing demand in the category. TEKLYNX designs software that provides an interface for users to create custom labels and set them as default rather than reconfiguring the settings whenever they need to print, which saves valuable time. The new agreement means the software is now fully-native with Brother’s entire suite of thermal labelling solutions, rather than simply being compatible and unable to offer the full suite of benefits. The partnership covers the rugged, mobile RJ range through to the industrial-grade TJ models, which meet the high speed and volume requirements of firms that operate within retail and manufacturing supply chains and make up most of the demand for specialist solutions. The businesses say the move will support resellers in capitalising on market growth. According to analyst VDC, the automatic identification (Auto-ID) category is forecast to grow by 9% in 2021 due to the increasing need for the specialist labelling solutions. Ged Cairns, Head of Category – Auto-ID at Brother UK, said: “Versatile devices that meet a wide range of customer requirements are key to providing resellers with the best means of tapping into the growing demand in the labelling category. This agreement is the latest in a string of new initiatives designed to strengthen our labelling range. These aim to enhance model performance, provide new procurement options through hardware-as-aservice platforms, and boost our footprint in the market via new channel partnerships.” www.brother.co.uk • www.teklynx.com Thales and Gamma expand partnership Thales has announced that Gamma has selected its Eco-SIM cards in a drive to become more sustainable. Expanding on its partnership with Thales, Gamma plans to deploy EcoSIM across its network of channel partners and business mobile customers. With 4.5 billion SIM cards produced every year – amassing to 20,000 tonnes of plastic – Thales’ Eco-SIM, developed in partnership with Veolia, is made from 100% recycled polystyrene recovered from discarded refrigerators. This next step in the partnership acts as a force for sustainability within the telecoms market, offering a green plastic supply flow to Gamma. Thales has provided SIM cards, applications and device management services to Gamma since 2016. The switch to Eco-SIM provides an opportunity for both companies to enhance their ecological transformation and contribution to a circular economy. Thales’ carbon offsetting programme also ensures its Eco-SIM is certified carbon neutral, and as a result, supports Gamma’s long-term commitment for safeguarding the environment reflected in its certification as a Carbon Neutral company. www.gamma.co.uk • www.thalesgroup.com Roger Stocker
