The new Brother ONSITE service is available for its TJ range of industrial label printers and is additional to its standard three-year return-tobase warranty. It guarantees that an engineer will visit the customer’s site the next working day if requested before 3pm to help bring devices back online. Cover is available for five or seven days a week. Brother ONSITE’s additional cover is targeted at users with essential labelling needs. That includes retail and logistics businesses that have 24/7 warehousing operations, which require a faster turnaround to fix any device faults than what’s currently provided under standard warranties. The acquisition is the biggest yet in the history of parent company DCC plc. The move signals an ambitious strategy for Exertis, extending its international scale in the Pro AV sector and ramping up its expansion in the North American market. The addition of Almo Corporation builds on other acquisitions in North America such as Stampede, Jam Industries, The Music People and JB&A, adding depth to its consumer portfolio. It expands Exertis’ Pro AV capability to form the largest specialist Pro AV business in North America.
