BULLETIN Exertis signs TES Exertis has announced a distribution partnership with sustainable technology lifecycle solutions provider, TES. The distie is placing a greater emphasis on sustainability, and its partnership with TES is just one of the ways in which it will boost its corporate responsibility in 2021. TES gives technology assets an extended life through its globally owned and operated network of facilities, including a brand-new 102,000 sq. ft. space in the West Midlands. The company ensures devices are made completely free of any historical data, then once data is cleansed, the device can be remarketed to have a second life. If recovery and remarketing is not possible, e-waste recycling plants use state-of-the-art equipment and processing techniques to ensure the lowest possible environmental impact. Steve Graham, VP/GM EMEA at TES, said: “TES is delighted to be selected as the approved partner in the UK for Exertis to support the independent reseller programme for all ITAD, recycling and related services. Recently recognised as the largest global ITAD provider by Gartner, TES is well positioned to support the reseller programme, end-to-end.” www.exertis.co.uk Leasing options Tech Data has announced that Cisco easylease payment plans can now be provided through its Tech-as-a-Service offering, making it easier for partners to quote end-user customers for a subscription payment option using the online portal. Any Cisco partner can logon and explore subscription payments options for their customers on the purchase of Cisco equipment, allowing them to spread the cost over a period of up to three years, instead of funding the full investment in new equipment up-front. Tony Nevill, Business Unit Director – Cisco and enterprise networking, Tech Data, UK and Ireland, said: “Having Cisco easylease available via Tech-as-a-Service gives partners another avenue to explore in terms of funding new equipment purchases. Cisco solutions can be quite complex and previously, partners may have found it a little challenging and time-consuming to provide a Cisco easylease quotation – especially for deals of a lower value. “With the automated process that Tech- as-a-Service takes partners though, it is quite easy to give end-user customers the option of switching from capex to opex. At a time when many organisations are looking to update their infrastructure, but are also keen to retain financial flexibility, that’s a powerful sales tool for Cisco partners.” www.techdata.com Ingram Micro partners with UiPath Ingram Micro has announced an expanded and now global, business relationship with enterprise automation software company and RPA tech innovator UiPath. “RPA is an important component within a company’s digital transformation game plan, and a great sales wedge for channel partners to introduce DX solutions and services into their existing end-user customer base,” said Sabine Howest, Vice President, Global Partner Engagement and IoT, Ingram Micro Inc. “Using AI to automate repeatable, rules-driven processes is a practice companies of all sizes can benefit from and a growth opportunity we’re ready to drive with UiPath through our growing and global advanced solutions organisation.” With the support of Ingram Micro’s Centers of Excellence, channel partners selling UiPath benefit from shared best practices, ‘follow the sun’ support services and global resources designed to meet the varied demands of the market locally, regionally and globally. We are thrilled to expand our successful relationship with Ingram Micro worldwide and look forward to helping channel partners capitalise on the market potential for RPA.” www.ingrammicro.com 01732 759725 8 Midwich Group opens multi-brand experience centre Midwich Group has officially opened Innovation House, a 50,000 sq. ft. state- of-the-art experience, training and event facility in Bracknell.
