As the first distributor for 8th Sensus in the UK, Arrow Electronics will offer its channel customers 8th Sensus’ next-generation identity access management software EVE. Kevin McNamara, CEO and Founder of 8th Sensus Inc. said: “This agreement enables Arrow and 8th Sensus to bring the benefits of next-generation identity access management to businesses in the UK. This technology is especially needed during the current unprecedented situation and will continue to be beneficial once we enter the new normality providing customers with innovative and trend- setting technology.” www.arrow.com Exertis Group to drive inclusive culture Exertis has introduced a new set of diversity and inclusion initiatives, to demonstrate its strong commitment to fostering a diverse culture across the business. The initiatives are to be driven by a diversity steering group, with representatives from teams and roles in every region the company operates in, aiming to share and learn from best practices across the group. Managers have been provided with a diversity and inclusion toolkit and are committed to delivering a demonstrable contribution towards diversity representation within their area of the business. Focusing on attracting a diverse and inclusive talent pool is just one of many ways the group aims to help tackle inequality. Exertis believes in fostering and developing talent to ensure under represented and marginalised groups are given the tools they need to prosper. It offers career opportunities across a wide range of functions from sales to finance and has over 860 courses available for employees. In recognition of the differing needs of employees, Exertis has increased maternity, paternity and adoption packages as well as offering flexibility in terms of location and hours, which it believes will encourage diversity. This global strategy demands cross-collaboration across the group’s global network, which will aid the new initiatives. www.exertis.com Tech Data announces agreement with AWS Tech Data has announced a new strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Through the agreement, Tech Data and AWS will jointly invest in resources and expertise focused on enabling companies to accelerate their own digital business transformations and offer an enhanced range of AWS cloud computing services to SMB end customers across Europe. This multi-year agreement will see Tech Data create dedicated local AWS sales and technical teams in each of its countries in Europe and reinforce its existing AWS offerings with a comprehensive range of professional and managed services and multi-vendor solutions with AWS at the core. The distributor’s StreamOne platform for cloud subscriptions, renewals and billing will play a central role in enabling companies across the region to bring solutions to market quickly and efficiently. In addition, Tech Data will implement AWS-specific enablement paths – including business maturity assessment, training and solution development – that will provide partners with the tools, knowledge and resources in order to quickly accelerate their AWS cloud practices. www.techdata.com Integra launches 2021 catalogues Integra members have received their 2021 office products catalogues, together with a full support programme, to help further promote the group’s diverse product range and services to customers. This year’s catalogue, produced using paper from FSC-certified forests, features over 7,000 best-selling lines including industry leading own brand, Initiative, exclusively available to members. Social distancing, safety and infection control together with the ‘working from home’ category will continue to play an important part of the product mix for some time and have therefore been expanded within the 2021 catalogue. www.Integra-business.co.uk Agilitas opens European logistics hub Agilitas IT Solutions has opened a new European logistics hub in Amsterdam, a move that reflects its commitment to ensuring customers and partners are provided with continuity of service following the recent Brexit deal. The new hub will be used to hold technology hardware and enable Agilitas to continue EU business without impacting its logistics services and supply chain management. Operations Director John Street, said: “As an international solutions provider with a strong presence in Europe, guaranteeing continuity and stability through the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union was always of significant importance to Agilitas and our customers. While it is certainly encouraging that a trade deal has now been agreed between the UK and EU, it was also paramount for Agilitas to be prepared for every potential scenario.” By establishing a logistics hub in the continent, Agilitas is better placed to tackle issues surrounding trade, tariffs and free movement that stem from the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union. www.agilitas.co.uk 01732 759725 8 Kevin McNamara
