01732 759725 BULLETIN 6 Zen announces partnership with Nutanix Independently-owned telecommunications and technology service provider Zen Internet, has signed a three-year contract with Nutanix. The move places Zen as one of Nutanix’s largest service provider partners in Europe. The strategic partnership encompasses a commitment to utilise Nutanix enterprise cloud software to power the Zen Cloud platform giving its customers the agility, economics and security of a cloud platform that is built on high performance, hyper-converged infrastructure. Zen Cloud is available both as infrastructure-as-a- service (IaaS) and as a managed service. “As a growing number of private and public sector organisations look to Nutanix to unify their IT operations and bring frictionless application mobility across different cloud environments, we're thrilled to announce this strategic partnership with Zen,” said Dom Poloniecki, General Manager, Sales, Western Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa region, Nutanix. Together, we’ll help them reap the rewards of modernising their data centres and running applications at any scale, on-prem and in the cloud.” www.zen.co.uk DMC closes sixth acquisition DMC has completed the acquisition of Leemic, a move that adds a further £3.5 million of revenue to the group, taking total revenues close to £70 million. Established in 1972 and headquartered in Stockport, Leemic serves customers across the North West of England and Scotland. The business will form part of the northern region headed up by Regional Managing Director, Warren Colby, which already has operations in Gateshead, York and Manchester. The acquisition provides DMC with the opportunity to expand into Scotland where Leemic has a growing sales and service operation. Colby said: “Leemic is an excellent business which we know well having worked together previously with great success. When the opportunity to acquire Leemic arose, we had no hesitation in adding their expertise to the group.” DMC CEO, Simon Davey, added: “Warren and I want to expand our presence in the north with high quality acquisitions and Leemic absolutely meets these criteria, with the same customer- centric values and excellent OEM relationships.” www.dmcplc.co.uk Apogee supporting the NHS Within 24 hours of receiving the requirements for the new Nightingale hospital, Apogee staff were delivering and installing new print and document technology into the ExCel Centre site in London, building on the proven managed print service model it already provides at Bart’s NHS Trust and many other hospitals in London and across the UK. The team currently supporting University Hospital Birmingham are now preparing to support the new Birmingham Nightingale hospital with new technology, and is working with the planners for all the new field sites opening across the UK.
