Developed by Epson, the MP100 and MP300 portable label printers offer a wide range of capabilities in compact device formats, including fast 1.4 inch per second print speed; wide variety of die-cut and continuous label sizes and materials up to 1.5 inch wide; USB connectivity; direct printing from Easy-Mark Plus software; and an integrated automatic cutter with full and half cutting. Epson will develop and manufacture new label printers for Panduit. It is anticipated that the partnership will accelerate the development of new technologies and expand the product offering to current and new markets. User-friendly A3 mono printer Kyocera has added the ECOSYS P4060dn A3 mono printer to its portfolio. Designed to meet the needs of medium and large businesses in a sustainable and efficient manner, the new ECOSYS P4060dn is the latest laser printer to join the ECOSYS series first developed in 1992. This device boasts a print speed of up to 60 pages per minute for A4 size paper and a rapid first print out time of 3.8 seconds. The printer is easy to use, features a user-friendly 9-inch colour touch panel, a paper feeder that includes a self-closing mechanism, image quality of 1200 dpi and a quick 17 second warm-up time. When integrated with SAP, business documents are processed through YSoft SafeQ’s secure print queues, and users pick up their documents after authenticating themselves at any equipped printer in the company’s network. YSoft SafeQ can also handle batch printing from SAP, and documents are printed in the original order. Direct print queues can also be supported. Y Soft offers three levels of integration between YSoft SafeQ and SAP. The initial two levels can be performed by partner resellers and an organisation’s SAP administrator. The authentication function as a basis supports full device control by enabling authentication at device level.
