01732 75972 5 8 BULLETIN Celebrating ISO accreditation Altodigital has invested a significant amount of resources and funding to gain the UKAS approved global standard for security and safety ISO 27001 – recognised internationally as a world class information security management system. The company, which operates 12 sites across the country, has spent 18 months working on the accreditation meaning customer data is now safeguarded from attack. It is one of just a handful of dealers who hold this ISO rating. Driven by the board the large-scale project was implemented to address the dealer’s own vulnerabilities, as well as protect its customers’ data. It was also implemented to prepare the business for the increasing worldwide reliance on the internet and future-proof against new technologies. Martin Chamberlain, Senior Information Risk Owner and Management Information Systems Director at Altodigital, said the accreditation is great news for existing and future clients of the business, as well as the company itself. “The ISO accreditation distinguishes us from other companies. It is more than just a certificate or a badge this is really about going to the depths of our business and making sure we are credible. We have looked at all of our vulnerabilities and we have fixed them,” he said. www.altodigital.com Contact lens supplier sees clear benefits for printing with Toshiba RL Solutions and Toshiba Tec have revolutionised the packing and despatch operation for online retailer, Feelgood Contacts. The company handles almost 50,000 packages each month and has to print a despatch note and a label to be attached to each box. It wanted to make the whole process quicker and easier for its packers. RL Solutions provided Toshiba Tec’s DB-EA4D double sided direct thermal label printers which allow customers to use much smaller labels and to print the label at the same time as the packing list or despatch note, which is printed on the label backing paper. This solution offers an ideal alternative to traditional single-sided solutions and speeds up despatch operations. The new printing solution has enabled the firm to maximise its despatch output and get orders to end-users faster with less of an environmental impact. The solution has also changed the way the company operates and is helping to sow the seeds for future growth. http://www.rlsltd.co.uk/ 10 We can buy your unused toners As a Managed Print Service provider, we understand how important it is to deliver the best value and performance to your customers. The 31-mile trek was part of a larger fundraising initiative which aims to raise £750 for BCHC this year. To reach his self-set target, Office Accounts Manager Lewis, will walk an ambitious 2,000 GPS tracked miles, climb Mount Snowdon twice in the same day and complete the infamous Three Peaks Challenge in June. www.midshire.co.uk Commercial Interiors’ expansion ‘bucks industry trend’ The Interiors division of Commercial is expanding with a year-on-year growth that is bucking the industry trend. Simone Hindmarch, Co-founder and MD of Commercial, says that the growth is due to the passion and motivation of the team, which leads to excellent relationships with our clients. “While Interiors has been an integral part of the business for 25 years, we felt our clients were crying out for a new, forward-thinking, interiors partner who could create inspirational working environments that challenged convention. So seven years ago we launched Commercial Interiors as a standalone division specialising in space utilisation, design, fit-out and furniture, and we haven’t looked back,” she said. Commercial Interiors recorded year-on-year growth of over 20% between 2016 and 2018, while the market grew by 4% over the same period. www.commercial.co.uk Simone Hindmarch
