PRINT IT RESELLER.UK 7 BULLETIN Commercial launches DONation programme Commercial’s Change Champions Team 17 has launched the DONation programme. DONation helps companies to tap into their employees’ competitive spirit while reducing environmental impacts. It’s an interactive pledging platform that combines education and motivation to help employees, and in turn the business, meet sustainability objectives. Six teams across the business are making small lifestyle changes, each of which has a carbon saving attached to it. Priority pledges include Smart Drive – driving more efficiently and getting more miles out of the tank; Do Diet – cutting extra calories; Fantastic Unplastic – avoiding extra packaging with reusable containers; Lose Your Bottle – cutting down on alcohol, and Rad Reflections – fitting home radiators with reflective foil to save energy. Commercial Co-founder and Managing Director Simone Hindmarch, said: We chose the DONation programme because it’s an engaging and fun online tool that shows the Commercial team how making small changes to their daily lives can reduce their own personal carbon footprint. So far we’ve had 407 pledges, which amount to 14,668kg of carbon, across the business.” www.commercial.co.uk Leemic supports Falkirk FC Leemic’s sponsorship has enabled the club to unveil brand new iconic branding in its Behind The Goal bar. All proceeds from Behind The Goal go straight back into the club. Elizabeth McDowell of Leemic said: “Behind The Goals has become a bedrock for the local corporate sector and non-profit community alike and we are very proud that, as a result, the Leemic brand now has an association with many worthy causes as well as the football club itself. Our Managing Director for Scotland, and committed Falkirk FC fan, Sandy Muir, is a regular face at the Bairns home games, but he is also a regular attendee of the Bairns Business Club too, so it seemed fitting to formalise our business association with the club.” Commercial Director at the club, Kieran Koszary, added: “The creation of the Behind The Goals was to enhance the match day experience for our supporters and we are delighted that this venue has become an integral part of matchday for our fans. Thanks to the support of Leemic we have been able to greatly enhance the look and feel of the bar to ensure it feels like home for our fans and we hope they continue to enjoy visiting it for many years to come.” www.leemic.co.uk Toshiba printers deliver the goods Halo, an innovative supply chain concept focused on delivering fresh, high quality food items, whilst at the same time reducing logistics expense and carbon emissions, is using Toshiba TEC printing technology to make the process as efficient as possible. Operatives process, package and in some cases store goods before the next onward journey. This needs to be done as efficiently as possible and a key part of the process is the generation of labels and other documentation. Recognising the importance of investing in the right printing equipment to enable these workflows to be completed as smoothly as possible, the company contacted Toshiba TEC reseller Progressive ID for some advice. Progressive ID configured a solution around Toshiba’s TEC’s B-EX6 industrial printers, which combine state-of-the-art technology with usability, reliability and the
