The total amount raised was £28,500 with around £4,500 also being donated to local charities as nominated by the collection volunteers. Volunteers from hundreds of partner organisations assisted JustHelping and their local hospice to collect and recycle over 33,200 real Christmas trees from households, in exchange for a small financial donation to support local charities. Senior Sales Executive Daniel Bridgeman spearheaded Midshire’s involvement. “Initiatives like this not only help raise vital funds for those most in need, but also help with recycling the trees that would just get thrown into landfill. More specifically, we were supporting St Ann’s Hospice this year, which only receives a third of its yearly financial targets from the NHS, so donations from campaigns like this are crucial for it to continue its vital work,” he said. www.midshire.co.uk ASL one of Top 100 companies in Cambridgeshire ASL was formally welcomed into the Top 100 list of Cambridgeshire companies at an award ceremony hosted by corporate finance advisors Grant Thornton.
