WHAT'S NEW PRINT IT RESELLER.UK 21 High speed, high volume Two new high speed office MFPs complete Sharp’s advanced A3 mono line-up. The MX-M7570 and MX-M6570 offer the same powerful workflow features and functionality as Sharp’s latest generation A3 models with the addition of advanced finishing options. The durable devices are ideal for high speed environments with a high throughput thanks to a maximum capacity of 6,700 sheets and continuous run during printing. The new models offer a wide range of feed and finishing options and print speeds up to 75ppm, combined with intuitive and time-saving functions to enhance productivity such as the easy to use, customisable 10.1” LCD touch- screen interface and a motion sensor that detects approaching users to ensure the device is always ready. For peace of mind, the devices come equipped with Sharp’s unique multi-layered security features to help companies protect their data while it is stored, scanned and printed. The MFPs also include a serverless pull printing solution as standard, allowing users to store print jobs for authentication. This means that documents are only printed when the user is at the device, preventing sensitive documents being left unattended in the printer tray. www.sharp.co.uk Canon launches Océ Arizona 1300 The Arizona 1300 printers are the first Océ flatbed products to feature LED curing options, offering print service providers the scope to print as needed from standby mode, without waiting for UV lamps to heat up. In addition, the new devices are the first Canon flatbed products to include Océ Remote Service for maximum uptime and ongoing technical support. With this tool, PSPs can better monitor ink consumption and print volumes, enabling them to receive customised service contracts based on their individual business requirements. Suited for printers producing up to 15,000m² per year and offering printing speeds up to 52.8m² per hour, the Océ Arizona 1300 Series comprises six models, all designed from the ground up for optimum ease of use and reliability. Head of Graphics and Communications Business Groups, Wayne Barlow, said: “Our flatbed customers have consistently faced the same two challenges – the need to boost productivity and to diversify their applications portfolio to open up new business opportunities.” www.canon.co.uk Kyocera targeting A3 market gains Kyocera Document Solutions is looking to build on its leadership in the A3 print market and has introduced seven new TASKalfa SRA3 MFPs. Kyocera says the new series which includes five colour and two mono devices improve on the old models in three key areas. Information security: the new machines come with IEEE 2600.2 compliance built in and KYOCERA’s innovative Data Security Kit – which encrypts data as it is written to the hard disk and permanently deletes all data after a job is completed – as standard. User experience and productivity: There is a new 10.1 inch full colour touchscreen hosting a tablet-like common user interface. Mobile printing and BYOD are fully supported through features such as IB35 direct wireless interface, with Apple Airprint, Google Print and NFC as standard. The new MFPs also display ‘instant readiness’ motion sensing and a custom designed Kyocera print engine combine to wake the machine from sleep mode in anticipation of an approaching user. And a new 270 page document scanner uses ultrasound to deliver faultless scanning at up to 220 pages per minute. High resolution graphics: The new devices deliver a wider colour gamut than predecessors, powered by new toner technology that generates smaller, more uniform toner particles for improved definition and vividness. High resolution – 1200 x 1200 x 2 bit – printing is standard output. Full bleed A3 printing is supported, as is printing with crop marks, on stock up to 300 gsm. “We’re anticipating market needs and responding to our customers’ desires with this new generation of machines,” Product Marketing Manager Trevor Maloney, explained. kyoceradocumentsolutions.co.uk Lexmark extends enterprise strength into SMB market Lexmark is bringing its enterprise scale strengths to a new line of printers designed for the SMB market.
