To ensure consistency across the business, Xeretec has also given the go-ahead to deploy Vantage Online within its newly acquired HP arm, Landscape Group. www.vantagecomputing.co.uk Antalis opens new operation in Bristol Antalis has opened a new, larger site in the Bristol area, which has increased the firm’s footprint to 70,000 sq. ft. of capacity across its Bristol, Basingstoke and Newton Abbot locations. Regional Business Director – South West, Simon Fisher, said: “The new capacity in the region is vital to us achieving our growth aspirations. In Bristol alone we are more than tripling the stock we can hold at any given time, a sign of our commitment to the South West and the strategic importance of the region to us. www.antalis.co.uk On track for Severn Hospice Exertis is on track to meet an ambitious fundraising target of £25,000 for the Severn Hospice. The distributor has completed the first two charity events to raise money in memory of Shane O’Connor who worked at the company as a business development manager in the mobile division for over six years. Nine members of the Exertis mobile team competed in the Marlow Fugitive Olympic Relay Triathlon on July 29. The challenge comprised of a brisk 1.5km swim in the Thames, followed by a 37km bike complete with steep hills, and finally a 10km run to the finish. Two more Exertis employees and a colleague from Sony completed a 100K bike ride on August 11. The route encompassed canal towpaths, off road cycling and some serious gradient-filled countryside. Severn Hospice is the chosen charity of Shane’s family. It gives specialist care and support free of charge to families across Shropshire and Mid Wales who are living with an incurable illness. Providing care for over 2,700 people every year, two-thirds of its running costs have to be raised through donations. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/exertis- mobile-team Three years of double-digit growth Since opening its regional headquarters in Milton Keynes in 2015, analytics company Yellowfin, has signed up 116 channel partners across a diverse mix of consulting, system integration and ISVs that are delivering around 60% of its EMEA revenues. Led by Shawn Deegan, General Manager EMEA, Yellowfin has added key executives across sales, marketing and partner support that has led to double-digit growth across 10 consecutive quarters. Deegan said: “We are actively recruiting new partners across key verticals including finance, healthcare, public sector and manufacturing, along with a focus on expanding our footprint in central Europe.” As part of this process, Yellowfin will be hosting an event for partners and customers in London and Frankfurt during October to support the launch of a major new product release. www.yellowfinbi.com Spicers abandons January catalogue Spicers has announced it will not publish a catalogue in January. In a statement the wholesaler said it acknowledges its decision breaks the tradition of an ever bigger annual publication. Spicers argues that less and less dealers and importantly end-users are using the printed book. A recent customer survey identified that 34% of Spicers dealers are already not distributing a paper catalogue on an annual basis. The wholesaler said its strategy is to help move dealers towards a new, integrated marketing approach that blends relevant online and offline marketing materials to connect with consumers, and ultimately drive sales. www.spicers.co.uk 10 We can buy your unused toners As a Managed Print Service provider, we understand how important it is to deliver the best value and performance to your customers.
