Established in 1988, the company employs around 100 staff and has an annual turnover of £26 million providing telecommunications services to end- user customers and through 500 channel partners from offices in London and the West Midlands. Xerox has now entered into a new settlement agreement with Carl Icahn and Darwin Deason and appointed five new members to its board of directors. Jeff Jacobson has resigned from his role as Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the board of directors. Keith Cozza, the Chief Executive Officer of Icahn Enterprises L.P., is expected to be appointed as the new Chairman and John Visentin is expected to be appointed as the Vice Chairman and new Chief Executive Officer of Xerox. www.xerox.com Quality and security certifications for M-Files M-Files has achieved recertification for ISO 9001:2015, quality management standard, and maintained its ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certificate for the information security system associated with its cloud operations. M-Files is one of only a few select vendors in the information management space that has achieved both of these certifications, and in particular, by deploying its own information management and QMS product. www.m-files.com In brief Cybercrime victim rates fall The number of British businesses falling victim to cybercrime fell by a fifth in 2017, despite an increase in the volume of attacks, according to new research from Beaming. The greatest reductions in victim rates were among small and medium sized businesses, which invested heavily in cyber security last year. The survey of more than 500 business leaders, conducted for Beaming by research consultancy Opinium, discovered that 43% of businesses suffered cyber security breaches in 2017. This was significantly fewer than in 2016 when more than half (52%) of firms fell victim. www.beaming.co.uk CRM deployment picks up pace The State of the CRM Market 2018 - An SME Perspective study conducted by Workbooks, revealed that CRM deployment has picked up pace in recent years with 70% using a CRM solution. The survey found that the primary drivers for CRM adoption were to improve the productivity of customer facing employees (66%), enhance customer experience (62%), and reduce operational costs (49%). Workbooks surveyed SMEs (£5m to £250m revenue) across the UK and found that nearly a third of SMEs still do not have any CRM technology in place.
