York has twelve years of project management and customer relations under his belt and is experienced in helping clients to implement different software systems. www.vantagecomputing.co.uk IT entrepreneur to spearhead growth at Commercial Richard Blundell has been appointed IT Services Divisional Director at Commercial. Blundell’s early career included entrepreneurial success with Software as a Service offerings in the late 1990s before selling one of his businesses to the MessageLabs Group in 2003. He then co-led Star Internet’s Managed Services Division working closely with IBM to launch their On Demand suite of services in the UK, before switching to be a Communications Director within the main MessageLabs Group in 2007. The business was sold to Symantec in October 2008 for £400m and since then Blundell has been CEO of two technology firms, Housing Partners in Worcester and BugFinders in Cheltenham. Commercial employs 300 people, 70 of whom work in IT Services, and Blundell expects to double the division’s turnover in the next two to three years. His strategic plan for the business includes strengthening Commercial IT Services’ disruptive messaging in the market as well as strengthening its existing position in the legal and education sectors. He is also keen to explore other data-centric industries such as accountancy, financial services and retail. Co-founder of Commercial, Simone Hindmarch believes Blundell’s appointment will be a catalyst for change, both within the business and in the industry at large. www.commercial.co.uk Xerox appoints Corne to lead large enterprise business Kevin Corne has joined Xerox as Director and General Manager for large enterprise organisations in the UK. He was previously a leader for the managed services business in EMEA for Lexmark and has over two decades of experience in the print industry. In his new role, Corne is responsible for expanding Xerox’s footprint across large enterprises in the UK with managed document services and smart print solutions. Jacobs will be responsible for working on bringing new and emerging technologies to market that can create value added solutions for resellers and reports to Business Development Director Simon Woodman. Jacobs joins from Tech Data where he spent eighteen years in both sales and product marketing, most recently as Business Director responsible for consumer electronics, accessories and new technologies. www.exertis.co.uk Purpose Software adds ERP sales specialist Purpose Software has appointed Howard Clark as Sales Manager. In this new role, he will be responsible for spearheading all sales and marketing activities for FORZA, the company’s recently launched SAP Business One-based ERP platform, and building relationships with new and existing customers. With over 13 years’ experience of the IT sector, Clark joins direct from Oracle where he regularly exceeded targets in his role as Senior ERP Sales Consultant. Prior to this, he successfully sold cloud-based integrated ERP and CRM solutions for Exact Software, a leading global provider of business software solutions.
