01732 759725 12 BULLETIN Y Soft demonstrates strong fiscal year growth in 2017 Y Soft has released an update to its fiscal year statistics demonstrating strong growth and setting the stage for continued innovation in enterprise workflow solutions. Highlights from the summary include an increase in customers from 14,000 to more than 15,000 demonstrating strong enterprise demand for the YSoft SafeQ workflow solutions platform. The numbers also indicate an increase in the number of Global Fortune 500 customers who use YSoft SafeQ – 31% in 2017 compared to 23% reported in 2016. With the opening of an additional R&D office, establishing a new sales/support office and a new channel partner in China, and expanding its testing and manufacturing facility to a standalone, larger building,Y Soft boosted its capabilities and continues to innovate to meet customer demand. “Integrated enterprise workflow solutions are at an inflection point as organisations look at digital transformation, security of IoT-based printers and flexible, low-cost IT infrastructures,” said CEO and co-founder Václav Muchna. “With our platform solution approach, strength in hardware development, a SaaS business model and our deep roots in IT deployments, our ability to meet and exceed customer and partner needs are greater than ever.” www.ysoft.com Intelligent customer interaction key requirement for enterprises Cavell, a provider of insights into the cloud voice and managed services markets, has released a new report providing the results of research into the service provider opportunity provided by contact centre and contact centre like services. The study indicates that intelligent customer interaction and the increased customer satisfaction and cost savings from improved efficiency and productivity, are key requirements for the modern evolving enterprise. This means that services that enable these requirements are going to be in high demand from service providers in 2018. Contact centres and related capabilities such as call recording, analytics and specialist IVR services are all going to be hot offerings for service providers as well as the introduction of bots and AI into more advanced services. www.cavellgroup.com Complete remote management KYOCERA Document Solutions has launched KYOCERA Fleet Services, a powerful monitoring system that allows partners to perform remote maintenance on their fleet of MFPs, reducing downtime and improving productivity. Hosted in the cloud, it enables users to quickly and easily view the status of all devices, identify and respond to issues and undertake key maintenance tasks from any location. Replacing the existing KYOCERA Fleet Manager system, it monitors aspects of devices including error reporting, meter readings, toner warnings and replacement. The tool will, for the first time, also include the remote maintenance of KYOCERA devices. Not only will it serve up key information about a device, but also enable partners to control the device panel in real-time, ideal for communicating if the device is undergoing maintenance or an engineer is on the way. It also allows partners to remotely install and configure applications, restart the device and remotely troubleshoot key maintenance tasks such as firmware upgrades and setting adjustments. With IDC estimating that between 35-50% of IT help desk calls are print related, simple print queries can take up a significant amount of an IT team’s day. The Fleet Manager solution has been developed with this in mind, aiming to free up engineers’ time so they can spend it on the tasks that matter. www.kyoceradocumentsolutions.co.uk Purpose Software adds dashboard option to solution portfolio Purpose Software has announced the immediate availability of a new dashboard option for its CBS and 2serv service management solutions. This new capability will help resellers to improve individual, team and organisational performance whilst enhancing decision-making across the business. The dashboards provide browser-based access to a consolidated view of organisational performance, highlighting metrics and KPIs that matter the most, from existing, disparate data sources. Dashboards can be customised to meet the functional requirements of individual users who can ‘drill down’ for more detailed analysis all the way to individual customer record, document or device levels. Managing Director Mike Burke said: “This new dashboard add-on is intuitive, easy-to-use, highly configurable and can be implemented in hours rather than months. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to developing all our business management software, which comprises the market’s widest range of products, maintaining our position as the UK’s leading provider of data integration solutions to print and managed services resellers.” www.purposesoftware.co.uk Flexible encryption and key management capabilities Gemalto is providing Google Cloud Platform customers with the ability to manage and maintain full control of their encryption keys on Google Cloud Platform. Gemalto’s SafeNet Luna Hardware Security Module (HSM) and SafeNet KeySecure now both fully support Google Cloud's Customer-Supplied Encryption Key (CSEK) feature, meaning customers can generate, manage and bring their own encryption keys to protect data and workloads in Google Cloud Storage and Compute Engine. A recent study by 451 Research found a third of organisations currently work with four or more cloud vendors. The ability to control all data encryption and key management operations across all cloud services providers helps companies ensure they have total control of their encrypted data, enabling them to protect their most sensitive information and meet compliance mandates. www.gemalto.com
