It had rained for days. The night before, 14 of us went out for a curry, a few beers, and a good laugh, and the main topic of discussion was whether or not the course would be open or if they would make us play off mats? The next morning, we arrived at the course to clear blue skies and the sun was shining - only one hole was closed due to being waterlogged. An extra round The original plan was that Redditch would be the final round of 2024, however, a few of our players wanted us to put on another round of golf in the South of England. Luckily our Neil Trim is a friend of the owner of Silvermere Golf Club, so we quickly put together an additional day on October 17. With only a couple of weeks to pull it all together, we were really pleased to have 20 people join us. Again, the weather leading up to the date was dreadful. It was so bad that the club had closed the course earlier in the week due to the amount of rain. However, once again we were lucky, the sun came out and everyone enjoyed the weather and the course.
