01732 759725 46 if companies are still struggling with hybrid working, they probably just do not want a hybrid workforce. I think the biggest issue is what works best from a productivity perspective. I am in sales, I have worked in a hybrid manner for the last 24 years, the technology has evolved and improved to enable that, but this is not new! What I hear the most, is concerns around how much work is being done. Certain roles need more face-to-face interaction than others, this is not always best served by Zoom. So, the balance of remote working over being in an office environment is the most important thing and this to me is the biggest challenge for businesses. Q: Looking towards the future, what do you envision as the next big breakthrough or game-changer in the industry, and how is your company preparing for it? A: Vasion! We are going to completely disrupt the norm in the managed print space, delivering a standalone print management solution will no longer be enough for the channel. They will demand more! The legacy solutions that are out there will be left behind. The Vasion platform will deliver the world class print management we are known for, plus so much more - capture, workflow, forms, output automation, signature solutions, content management, simple integrations into whatever applications the business requires. Q: What advice would you give a young person starting a career in the industry? A: Go and travel the world then come back and be ready for some hard work! The best thing I think any youngster can do is go back packing for a year or more and get worldly. Then come back with some confidence and life experience, there is plenty of time to focus purely on your career! Q: How do you stay ahead of the curve and ensure that your company remains at the forefront of innovation? A: We are first and foremost a SaaS solution developer, so our mindset is always based on what is next and how do we develop solutions that make digital transformation attainable to everyone. We then think about how our platform can make exploiting things like AI easier for organisations. In having that thought process it means that by default we are pioneering in nature. Added to that, Vasion is flexible, we are self-owned, so are able to make quick decisions and alter our course as appropriate to what the market demands are. Q: With artificial intelligence fast becoming mainstream, how do you see this impacting your go-to-market strategy, product roadmap, and indeed the wider channel? A: The platform we are developing has customer choice, simplicity of deployment and administration at its heart. Vasion is making sure that whatever AI platform the customer wants to use, they can with Vasion solutions. We are not going to dictate or tie our customers down to a single solution; we want to make it easy for them to digitally transform and use the AI platform they see as the best fit for their needs. The channel will have access to a complete digital transformation toolset, which will enable them to deliver solutions to their customers, without the need for heavy development, custom APIs and complicated integrations etc. Q: What do you see as the key challenges or pain points businesses are facing in today’s hybrid working model and how can you help your partners/customers to address these? A: Everything we offer is cloud-native, so location does not dictate one’s ability to access work applications. In all honesty, Q: What’s currently having the greatest impact on your business? A: Awareness within the channel or the channel staying with what they know… even if there are better options out there. Within the cloud based print management space, we are by some way the market leader. We have over 12,000 customers, our platform handles over 15 billion print jobs a year, PrinterLogic is the highest rated cloud print management solution by G2 and we have a net promoter score of 65! The channel’s awareness of PrinterLogic or willingness to change, is having the greatest impact on the business. Q&A Industry Insight Tim Muckart, Director Channel Sales EMEA, Vasion Tim Muckart
