Offering a range of advanced features, the new top-of-the range ColorWorks C8000e builds on the success of its predecessor, the ColorWorks C7500, to meet the high volume label production needs of businesses in sectors ranging from food, beverages, chemicals and healthcare, to horticulture, pharmaceuticals, warehousing and logistics. With a low total cost of ownership, the Epson ColorWorks C8000e is designed for optimum efficiency and reduced environmental impact. The use of high-capacity ink pouches means that it contains 75% less plastic than if using cartridges and provides 1.65 times more volume compared with its predecessor. It has also been manufactured using 2.6 kilos less metal parts than compared with the C7500. Anton Belousov, ColorWorks Product Manager, Epson Europe said: It’s clear that the future for industrial colour label production lies with on-demand printing and Epson is proud to offer best-of-class technology with this latest addition to its ColorWorks range.” www.epson.co.uk New cost-per-click option TD SYNNEX has made its OpenMPS managed print service even more flexible and appealing by adding a costper-click option that enables partners to offer customers a pay-per-use service for print with auto-replenishment of ink and toner cartridges as required. With the CPC option, instead of being charged for replacement ink or toner cartridges (which are shipped in advance of the ink running out), customers will be invoiced for the exact number of pages they print, with the replenishment costs included in their bill. The whole process is managed through OpenMPS. Chris Bates, Business Unit Director, Print and Supplies, UK, TD SYNNEX, said that the CPC option had been added to meet changing customer needs. “Everything in IT is moving towards a subscription model and a lot of customers like the idea of cost-perclick. We’re always taking feedback from our partners and decided that this would be a good option to add to OpenMPS. It’s easy to see the appeal, as it allows customers to see exactly what print is costing them. From a reseller perspective, it’s excellent as the whole process is automated and it brings in recurring and profitable income.” https://uk.tdsynnex.com Collaborative touch panel display Chris Bates
