The highlights of his career include a spell at Pitney Bowes, managing sales in a small dealership, before moving over to Canon’s National Accounts team. Paul’s next move saw him take on a management role at Annodata, and in 2009 he purchased ASL where he served as Group Sales Director and owner for 14 years. Paul left ASL in March 2023, during his tenure the business grew from £5m turnover to £50m, completed 16 acquisitions and built a 200-strong staff. Alison Haley, Marketing Specialist, Tangerine Design and PR Alison Haley is a highly experienced marketeer within the office equipment industry. With a career spanning 28 years at the heart of the dealer channel, she has an excellent reputation for building valuable relationships and helping reseller businesses to achieve their potential through creative tailor-made marketing, in-house and external communications, PR and events. For the last 17 years she has driven channel marketing activity as the UK Marketing Manager of Olivetti and, previously, spent 11 years raising the profile of Konica Minolta, and its dealers, as Advertising, PR and Events Manager. Now, running her freelance creative marketing services business, Tangerine Design and PR, Alison continues to devote her time to the wider channel arena as well as providing marketing expertise to many other industry segments. Mark Smyth, Experienced Business Leader Mark’s career in managed print & IT services spans almost four decades. During that time, he has led operationally within some of the largest and most successful vendors and resellers including Apogee and Ricoh. Mark has a defined obsession for exceptional service and operational excellence, combining leadership that motivates and empowers people to achieve their goals and outstanding results. Mark has forged significant client, vendor, and industry relationships over many years, leading and driving organisational growth and development, continuous improvement, implementing numerous strategic, sustainable and environmental initiatives. Julian Stafford, Former Managing Director, Midshire Julian began his career in print as Dealer Manager for Riso where he rose through the ranks to become National Sales Manager. In 1997, he left Riso to set-up Midshire with friends Phil Powell and Kevin Tunley. Prior to an acquisition by Sharp in 2017, Midshire’s annual turnover was c£35 million. Julian agreed to stay on and lead the business while it continued to operate as an independent organisation. By November 2019, Midshire had become fully integrated with Sharp’s direct operation, and Julian decided the time was right to retire and pursue other interests. He is currently mentoring a number of SMEs, helping them to achieve strategic business goals; remains active in the commercial and residential property sectors and enjoys spending time with his family and travelling. Louella Fernandes, CEO, Quocirca Louella is the owner and CEO of Quocirca, an industry analyst firm which focuses on analysing digital disruption in the print industry. The company has published a range of thought leadership reports on key market trends such as managed print services, cloud print services, cybersecurity and sustainability. Quocirca also published the landmark Print 2025 global market insight study which investigates the future of print in the connected digital workplace. Louella has an extraordinary breadth of understanding of the global market dynamic and the rapid changes the print and imaging industry is experiencing and regularly interviews print industry leaders in the podcast In the Spotlight with Quocirca, which is published on YouTube and Spotify. Brendan Perring, General Manager, IPIA Brendan was formerly Editor at Signlink magazine and Deputy Editor of Print Monthly magazine. After two years he was promoted to Editor of Print Monthly and then this was shortly followed by becoming Managing Editor of Link Publishing. After helping to found Link Exhibitions, and with the successful launch of The Print Show, which took place for the first time in October 2015, Brendan was made director of Link Publishing and Link Exhibitions. Seeking a fresh challenge after gaining this experience and finding he loved PR and creative project development, he moved to Speed Communications (The Mission Marketing Group).
