01732 759725 26 WHAT'S NEW Fujifilm Europe is launching its Apeos branded MFPs in Europe for the first time. Built on the company’s decades of print and imaging expertise, the Apeos range is designed for the modern workplace – features include versatile media handling capabilities, speeds ranging from 20 -70 pages per minute, advanced scanning functions, remote/mobile printing capabilities, security features, and sustainability credentials. “It’s hugely exciting to be entering the European office printer market after our entry into the toner production printer business in Europe in 2021.” said Taku Ueno, Senior Vice President, Device Technology Division of FUJIFILM Europe. “We’ve had tremendous success in the last three years introducing high quality Fujifilm branded production printers to the market, and the launch of our office printers is the natural next step.” https://fujifilmprint.eu Focus On: What’s New Performance and sustainability As revealed on the cover last issue, Epson has continued its drive to bring heat-free line inkjet technology through its office print range with the launch of the AMC400 and AM-C550 A4 MFPs. Developed using Epson’s Open Platform, the MFPs are easily integrated into existing technology infrastructures and are compatible with all third-party software solutions. The devices feature fast print and scan speeds (up to 55ppm for print and 100ipm for scan), high paper capacities and high yield ink cartridges of up to 31,500 pages. The ‘C’ shaped paper path used in their design means their footprint has been reduced, placing these printers among the smallest in class and making them ideal for environments that demand a highly reliable, productive device but where space is limited. The A4 models expand Epson’s AM-C family and deliver comparable levels of impressive productivity to those seen on the AM-C A3 models, which combined with the reduced energy consumption and waste reductions expected from Epson heat-free inkjet, offer a compelling alternative to traditional laser printers for customers looking to lower the environmental impact of print. www.epson.co.uk A3 printers and MFPs Built by evolving Lexmark’s A4 technology, the new 9-Series A3 printer and MFP range is focused on delivering versatility, simplicity and sustainability. The 9-Series is designed and built to last seven years or more and its spacesaving, energy-efficient design helps reduce the carbon footprint, in addition, the range’s total postconsumer recycled (PCR) content is 56% by weight for all basemodel MFPs and 73% by weight for the line’s base-model printer, based on IEEE calculation procedures. “With the introduction of our new internally developed A3 platform, the Lexmark 9-Series offers all the benefits of a simpler A4 device in a fully featured A3 package,” said Melanie Hudson, Lexmark Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. “And of course, the line retains our commitment to products, services and solutions that are reliable, durable, cost-saving and secure by design.” The Lexmark 9-Series is composed of eight models. The Lexmark CX963, CX962, CX961, CS963 and CX833 models are scheduled to be available in June. The Lexmark CX951, CX950 and MX953 models are scheduled to be available in the first quarter of 2025. Six new MFPs specifically designed for business solutions dealers will also be available through authorised solution providers.
