01732 759725 50 AND FINALLY Michael Lloyd, CEO, Nuvola Distribution 60 seconds with… What’s currently having the greatest impact on your business? The fall out of the pandemic and how it accelerated the move of UC to the cloud. Many channel partners are evolving into other cloud solutions, particularly print resellers who are embracing cloud voice solutions into their portfolios. With this move to the cloud, network stability is coming under scrutiny, so an increase in performance management and analytics of the network infrastructure is gaining momentum. Where do you see the next big opportunity? We see the integration of Microsoft Teams into the UC/CCaaS space and the ecosystem surrounding it such as contact centre, AI etc. as a massive opportunity. We’ve seen an increase in the use of Teams to such an extent that we have developed a Teams practice called Teams Ready. With the increase in hybrid working, omni-channel contact centre solutions with Teams integrations have come to fore, and with our professional services team of engineers, we have experienced a significant demand for deployments. What would make your day job easier? More appetite for face-to-face meetings. You can read situations so much easier in the flesh. Nuvola is very much a people-orientated organisation and building relationships is key for us. What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given? Always be willing to learn - this is becoming more prevalent due to the developments in technology and will continue to do so. What was your first job? Selling IBM typewriters/word processors in London. What would be your dream job? Owning a bar in Ibiza. Fine dining and good wine, or curry and a pint? Curry and a pint followed by some good wine. Favourite holiday destination. I have two. Ibiza and New York. How do you like to spend your spare time? I am a season ticket holder at West Ham, a golfer and a grandad. Money’s not an issue, what’s your perfect car… and where would you like to drive it? Range Rover Vogue, driving around Tuscany. Michael Lloyd If you had had a crystal ball, would you have done anything differently? If I had my time again, I would think more carefully about some of the people I have done business with. Describe your most embarrassing moment. This happens quite often, people coming up to me at shows or conferences and saying ‘hi’ and I have no recollection of who they are! https://nuvoladistribution.com
