EVENT PRINTITRESELLER.UK 17 Lexmark recently hosted a comprehensive reseller day at their UK head office in Maidenhead to showcase a full range of initiatives including their sustainability initiative, new products, cloud print applications – all followed up by an evening at Windsor racecourse Lexmark host channel “Best Together” event for resellers & dealers 2023 for Sustainability. Lynne Brown, UK & I Channel Sales Manager, went on to highlight Lexmark’s latest design-led product sustainability features, their new 2023 partner programmes, promotions and a selection of bespoke initiatives for resellers. To close the first session Iain MacLean, EMEA PS Director, discussed Lexmark’s cloud services applications, which include cloud fleet management, cloud print management, cloud connector, cloud scan management and translation assistant. These have been created to enable resellers to offer a thorough range of cloud products and services. The penultimate session of the day was hosted by Tony Lomax, EMEA Product Marketing Manager, and ran through the new models in the Lexmark A4 and A3 Printer/MFP line up. Also, David Jenkins, Director of Sales – EMEA & APAC – Retail Signage Solutions, demonstrated Lexmark's Smart Retail Solution prototype and its advanced AI capabilities such as directly target offers and promotions to shoppers in a store, tracking real-time The “Best Together” day was well attended by resellers and dealers from both the UK, Ireland and Benelux with the keynote address being delivered by Arjan Paulussen, Managing Director, Western Europe & English Speaking Africa. Arjan discussed the current challenges currently faced by all technology vendors, distributors and resellers. He reported back to Lexmark’s attendees the key initiatives and benefits that are in place and designed to help their resellers generate new business opportunities during these changing times. The second session of the day was led by Kim James, UK & I Annuities Manager, who went through Lexmark’s sustainability message. Lexmark’s product life cycle sits in the circular economy and covers product design, manufacturing, distribution, use and end of life. Also discussed was the on-site Lexmark Cartridge Collection Programme (LCCP) for waste toner cartridges which was widely endorsed by the resellers present. Lexmark’s Unison toner was also praised for its energy saving features which helped Lexmark receive several recent sustainability awards including a Platinum Ecovadis Sustainability rating, Energy Star Partner of the Year Award 2023 and the Technology Reseller Award data and increase sales. New products include the colour range of XC2335 & C2335 and mono range XM3350 and M3350 plus new stand-alone models – nearly all with smaller footprints. Other new features and add-ons include an upgraded intelligent storage device of 128Gb, enhanced font support, trusted platform module, new wireless standards and a new attachable convenient stapler for Lexmark MFPs. Chris Law, Director, EMEA Annuities, closed the business side of the day with a summary of what had been demonstrated and a reseller Q&A session.
