POSEPRINT and PRINT IT AWARDS 2022 01732 759725 22 The PrintIT Awards 2022 which took place at the Royal Lancaster, London on December 6, brought together 550 of the industry’s OEMs, ISVs, disties, channel vendors and dealers under one roof A night to remember After another interesting and challenging year, the third edition of the PrintIT Awards, and the second in-person event, provided a perfect opportunity for friends and colleagues to come together, to catch up, network and celebrate shared successes. The much-anticipated event kicked off with a sparkling champagne reception in the Nine Kings suite at the Royal Lancaster, where guests mingled, chatted and networked. Opening the proceedings Kingswood Media and Tech Events Director Neil Trim opened the event. He referenced current market conditions and acknowledged the working partnership between vendors, resellers, distributors, and service providers as a key factor in this industry’s success. He said: “We are often asked about the future of print within the workplace, and although nobody has a crystal ball as to what trend or work/life incident may befall us, one thing I do know is that this industry and the people in it have shown the resilience required for success.” PrintIT Reseller Editor Michelle Ryder also welcomed guests. She spoke about the immense effort involved in together the PrintIT Awards event, acknowledging the hard work and determination from the event organisers and most importantly – the effort everyone put into their award entries. She said that whilst not all of the finalists would walk away with a PrintIT Award, every one of the companies that made the shortlists had earned the right to celebrate. “Congratulations to you all – being shortlisted is a massive achievement and you should all be rightly proud.” The ultimate racing experience There was also the opportunity to experience the ultimate FI racing experience, on two F1 simulators provided courtesy of Westcoast and Samsung. In addition to the PrintIT Awards official photographer, experts from Canon were also on hand to photograph guests, who could then take home their printed photos as a memento of the night.
