www.managedITmag.co.uk 27 PRINTERS One payment per month for computers, support and more Device as a Service (DaaS) subscriptions are an increasingly popular way to acquire hardware and services. But beware, not all DaaS offerings are equal, warns Hardsoft Computers. “In case you didn’t already know, DaaS offers a subscription-based approach to getting computers into your business, but without ownership,” it explains. “This is more beneficial than it sounds because, while you may not own the devices outright, you gain immunity from obsolescence, you have access to expert support and all your kit can be personalised with the pre-configuration of settings and software. “These are all standard elements of DaaS, but there’s one solution which goes much further than most. “Enter Devices for Teams. Our own DaaS solution is engineered for scaling businesses and has been 40 years in the making. We offer inclusive support and flexibility, allowing you to select devices of your choice, and switch or change them after just 12 months, with optional asset protection cover available if needed.” Hardsoft consolidates all this, plus deployment of preconfigured devices to users worldwide, into a single monthly direct debit, streamlining administration and enhancing financial clarity. It adds: “Don’t settle for fragmented solutions from disparate suppliers. With Devices for Teams, experience the convenience of expert support and services tailored to your needs, all under one roof.” https://devicesforteams. hardsoftcomputers.co.uk Aurora Managed Services secures ISO 27001 certification Aurora Managed Services, a fast-growing provider of print management, office supplies and telecoms services, has achieved ISO 27001: 2022 certification in recognition of its commitment to the highest standards of information security and data protection. The multi-function Workforce Pro EM-C800RDWF and the single function Workforce Pro EP-C800RDW come with Epson’s replaceable ink pack system (RIPS), which delivers up to 50K/20K (mono/colour) from a single set – the highest ink yield in the printers’ segment. This helps keep maintenance and interventions to a minimum. Other productivity-enhancing features include a paper capacity of 1,830 sheets, a print speed of 25ppm, a duplex scan speed of up to 60ipm (with the Workforce Pro EM-C800RDWF) and compatibility with a wide range of Epson and third party ISV solutions for easy integration into existing fleets and workflows. Because the printers use Epson’s Heat-Free inkjet technology, they consume less energy than comparable laser printers and need no warm-up from sleep, delivering a first print out in just 4.8 seconds when printing in mono. Nick Taylor, head of sales for office printing at Epson UK & I, said: “Using our RIPS technology, these printers deliver up to 50K pages of continuous print in mono. This not only increases user productivity and reduces maintenance and product downtime, but also means fewer replacement consumables – meaning fewer need to be produced, shipped and disposed of. This supports Epson’s wider sustainability agenda and those of our partners and end users.” www.epson.co.uk
